He first starts of as nothing but then all these tragic things happen to him which makes him leave home and he end up lost and alone. But then two other animals come along and help him out and he grows up doing what they have been doing. The heros have to go on a mystical journey to return to their problem and beat it. Simba went to a new place and grow up there it was not mystical but he still grow and learned then nala came along and she started to point him on the right path. But he need extra help from rafice that is where the mystical parts come in and then he knew what he had to do to be a hero. After he got the knowledge he decided what to do with it so he went back to his home and went to beat his uncle. They have a fight and simba ends up winning the fight then takes his place as ruler. Also the it starts to rain even though it would not rain when scar was king. That is another mystical thing that happens. At the very end it shows him having a kid and all balance is resorted. All heros restore balance to there world and simba restored balance to the circle of life so he became the new king. He also comes back knowing more about how things work then he did when he left the pride lands. He also sorted out his emotions about his father. So he knows who he is, where his home is, and what his job is and his responsibilities. He will end up teaching that to his children to make sure they don't make the same mistake he made. But every hero has to have a villain at some point. So recap he left his home found two people that took care of him then lived there for some years but then got found by a old friend and chases a monkey. Also gets hit by the monkey and heads home. Finally makes it home fights his uncle and wins end up killing his uncle. Becomes new king. Also has a child that is it right good.

Google “Joseph Cambell's hero’s journey”. Read and learn about it. Then type three hundred and fifty or more words about how The Lion King relates to Joseph Campbell’s hero’s journey. In what ways does Simba take the journey of a hero?

After reading and learning about “Joseph Cambell’s Hero’s Journey” and comparing the story to the movie The Lion King here is how they connect. In Joseph Cambell’s hero’s journey, the hero leaves his ordinary world which is his home and where he came from because he had a problem with the everyday life he used to live. How that is like The Lion King is that Simba gets blamed for his father's death by Scar and Simba asked what to do and Scar told him to run. The reason he ran is that He was afraid of “what he did” so he ran away from the problem that “he caused”. So from both stories, two people ran away from a problem and where they were from, so they didn't have to face the problem. Then in Joseph Cambell’s hero’s journey, he travels into an unknown area to try and forget the problem and start a new life. In The Lion King Simba runs away from his home into the desert and Pumba and Timon find him and bring him to the jungle. The jungle and the desert were unknown places to try and hide from the problem that happened and to try and start a new life. Then in Joseph Cambell’s Hero’s Journey, something makes him realize he needs to go back and fix what happened so he can be happy again. In The Lion King Simba is living in the jungle and Nala goes to find help or food and she runs into Simba and she tells Simba that he needs to go back and what all happened. Then Rafiki ran into Simba and brought him to see that his father is in him to help him fix things so Simba runs back to Pride Rock to fix what happened. So with the two movies, they have something that motivates the two characters to go back and fix what happened. Then in Joseph Cambell’s Hero’s Journey, he returns back to his home and fixes what happened and he is happy now. In The Lion King Simba goes back and he fights Scar and tells everyone what happened. Then Scar tells Simba that he had killed Mufasa and that he blamed it on Simba so Simba fights back and the truth was let out so the lionesses helped Simba fight then Simba had Fixed the problem and claimed his spot as king. So with the two movies, both characters had gone back to their home to fix and make things great again. In conclusion with both movies and both characters is that they both ran from their problems and found a new world to live in to get away from everything but something makes them go back to their homeland to fix things and then they are truly happy again and things are better after that.

The lion king relates to joseph Campbell's hero’s journey in examples like how the lions go out and fends for themselves in the movie like how Nala goes out and tries to find Simba because she wants the world to be back to normal and that the hyena has taken over it and she wants Simba to come back and take it over again. Another thing how the lion king relates to joseph's journey is that how they face conflicts like in the movie how Simba loses his dad and he doesn’t know what to do now because he was a little kid and he doesn't know how to react now so he has to problem-solve his solutions now. Finally, the lion king does reflect his journey because it shows how they face their problems and overcome it and how they go out and find what they need.
In what ways does Simba take the journey of a hero?
How Simba takes the journey of a hero is by how ralfki turns his life around by showing him look into the reflection of the water and he sees his dad and he says remember what I told you and he was happy to see his dad. Another way is how Simba finally is able to take back his throne and have everyone on his side. Then he also gets respect and intellect on becoming a better king because of his honesty and will be taking up the consequences when he admits that he was on who killed Mufasa when it was scare who killed him. After that Simba takes back his spot upon pride rock and reclaims his rightful place as a king. This also allows for Simba to become much stronger and have more power on pride rock. After he takes the throne he becomes a great and loyal king and has a child of his own with Nala. And when he returns back to pride rock his friends Timon, and Pumba meets up with him again. So after he became a hero he is glad that he went back to save the throne after his father died and he made everyone happy again and his pride back and now he is king.

The Lion King relates to Joseph Campbell’s hero’s journey in a lot of ways. Simba is like the hero in the Lion King. He is a hero because when he gets old he eventually goes back to Pride Rock, his homeland and saves it from Scar and then Simba becomes the king of the pride lands and saves the circle of life. The Hero’s journey relates to the Lion King by the cycle it has, meaning the Hero’s Journey has a revelation, transformation, and a return and so many other stages. This relates to the circle of life in the Lion King. The Hero’s journey and the Lion King both have a beginning and an ending and a return because, in the end, it shows Simba returning to save his homeland. The Hero’s journey has enemies and obstacles just like the Lion King does. In the Lion King, the enemies are the Hyenas and Scar. The obstacles in the Lion King are, Simba can’t put his past behind him and Scar is another obstacle. It talks about how the Hero’s Journey is an adventure. In the Lion King it shows Simba having an adventure to the place were Temon and Pumba are living and Simba discovers what their living place it likes and how they live there and how pretty their place is. In the Lion King, it shows Simba finally facing his emery Scar and in the Hero’s Journey, it talks about enemies as well. It shows that Hero’s Journey has like two different kinds of worlds, well in the Lion King, Pride rock and the shadowy places are like two different worlds. Pride Rock is a good world and the shadowy place is the bad world. In the Hero’s Journey, it looks like the special world is like the bad world because it has enemies and in the Ordinary world, it looks like it is good. In the Lion King, the shadowy place is the bad world because it has enemies and the Pride rock and circle of life world is a good world. So the Hero’s Journey and the Lion King both have two worlds.

When Simba starts his adventure. He went to unknown lands running away from his problems that he had. When he started it, he didn't know if was to make it a live or if he was going to die,as every journey has dangerous, and happiness. Hero normally do that. They take their journey unknowing what are going to find over. A better life or the death 2 things that they can get if anyone starts a journey as in the movies we finds mentors as Simba found Timon and Buumba they helped him when he needed them and they taught him how to survive things as what to eat, where you shouldn't go, and what to do if something happens. Any journey has obstacles Simba’s obstacles were that he almost die in the desert. But our heroes always get someone that can help them to make through. Nothing can be perfect always their pass comes at them and makes them go back where they began. The pass can be harmful but they need to face it Simba’s pass was remembered him when the three of them where think what was in the sky, the stars what they were. Simba remembered his father and what he had told him. It all started there and then after he met Nala and she tells him to go back and help them with scar it’s like having your pass telling you what to do and you need to do. In all of the movies that I watched the character that comes from the journey that they had experimented and new friends that they have met. Their friends help them to confront their pass as Timon and Puumba helped him had his back to fight scar hyenas and defeat scar and get his life back. After they fight their enemies the hero goes back to his normal life with other friends. In some movies the dame history repeats itself with their kids and they do the same things but with a little bit of variables and come out with a second part. After all this happened always end it up happy.

Joseph Cambell’s hero journey is like the lion king because Simba was a kid and was traumatized at a young age when he saw his father die right in front of him, Simba’s pain got to him which is what made him believe that it was his fault and Scar help the pain to grow stronger thus breaking Simba. So Simba went away for a long time and his past changed him as a whole until he got some guidance from Nala and other people, Simba needed to dig deep down inside to figure out if this was supposed to be his life or if he is supposed to be king. Then Simba finally realized that his role in life was to be the king and that Scar tried to take that away from him and he almost did until Simba came back all grown up and changed. He has more strength, he is smarter than before he became dominate so he came in as the alpha lion to take back his homeland and get rid of Scar forever. Simba first started off as an omega male (beta) and after he grew up and got some help/guidance he came back stronger, tougher, smarter with all of those new perks that Simba gained over time he finally became what his father always knew he would be, the Alpha Lion just like his father. Simba came as a leader, a hero someone to look up to at a young age and be inspired to be like him one day and the lions don’t have to be young they can be a little older as well. Simba and Nala will make a great family because those two were always meant to rule the kingdom and when Nala didn’t know where Simba went after his father death Nala was hunting for food and she came across Simba in the forest when she found Simba’s new friends which to told him to forget about his worries. Simba is going to live the rest of his life knowing that he saw his father died trying to save him he can’t change your past but you can change your future and the choices you make will take you to your destiny.

When Simba was a kid his adventure came early for him he was just a little lion and he had to face all of these obstacles during his adventure run from hyena run through sandstorm pokiepine not know if he would survive or just die. During his time in the desert, he was thinking to himself what he has done during the past telling himself why he did think that he got his father died he did know who he was, so he lost who he was. But later in the movies he found animal like puma and tummon who would teach him the way of life how to survive the outer world they thought Simba, where to get his food under rock tree bark to eat they even thought him a word Hakuna, Matata they word mean no worries so I'm guessing that the word that made him forget who he is because he had no worries about in the past but he should of have. Later on, in the dark time, Simba Pumba and Timon were staring at the start say what are they for Simba said that someone once told him that all the great king watched the people guide them. Then puma and tummona stated laugh at what he said. Another thing that made him remember himself is that he saw his long-time friend Nala who was out hunting for the pride she was trying to convey Simba to go back to the pride and take the rightful place as the king. So he did the next objective he faces was a scar and the hyena tumma and Pumbaa Nala and the other lion help Simba with his object to face scar and the hyena he took down scar and got the rightful place as king. Then Simba realizes that he could change his past into reality after knowing that he did not kill his father, in the end, he was king and he had a child at the end so he lives happily at the end of the story

After reading about the Heros Journey it was basically the same storyline as the Lion King. It is a man that is called to adventure and it is the same thing with Simba, Scar told Simba to go and never return so it is pretty much the same thing. Then the person is on a journey and meets a mentor and a helper, Simba goes on an adventure and meets Timon and Pumbaa. The guy in the story begins to transform into a man, Same thing with Simba when they play the scene of them walking across the log and Simba begins to grow a main. The man begins to have challenges and temptations, Simba has the same thing on whether or not he should go back to his home so he can save everyone and give them the true king. The man in the story then has atonement and Simba has the same thing when Nala finds him in the woods and tries to make him go back but he doesn’t want to. Then Rakiki convinces Simba to go back to his home and lead the animals like a true king. Then the man in the story goes back to his home returning from his adventure. Simba also heads home to take the throne for himself and that he does.

Webb, Parker
I believe he's come full circle as it's describing the story quite the same as it's usually all about the character's arc at the beginning as he couldn't wait to be king and then ran away after his father passed from being killed by scar it actually started when he's pounced on by Nala which is his call to adventure as she recognizes him and mentions he needs to come back and he denies it which is another one from the wheel and as he would've come across Rafiki and got the spiritual help for seeing his dad and got the help he needed to overcome his first task and with supernatural aid of magical spinning clouds that turn into his fathers voice he sets off on his true journey and to confront scar and gains helpers along the way before that with Pumba and Timon who teach him to be lazy and Hakuna Matata the worst saying in the universe for lazy people, then we get to the abyss and coming home for him the big climax of it at the peak of king's pride he says on for how he blames Mufasa's death on himself, A big battle breaks out between the hyena's and scar versus, Simba, Timon, Pumba, and the Lioness's and the revelation hit's as Scar tells Simba about mufasa's death about how he killed him and the final fight breaks out as he feels atonement for his father's death to realize he didn't cause it.

Coined by academic Joseph Campbell in 1949, it refers to a wide-ranging category of tales in which a character ventures out to get what they need, faces conflict, and ultimately triumphs over adversity. Campbell's concept of one myth refers to the theory that sees all mythic narratives as variations of a single great story. The central pattern most studied by Campbell is often referred to as the hero's journey and was first described in the hero with a thousand Faces (1949). Joseph Campbell was an American professor, writer, and orator and he was best known for his work in the fields of comparative mythology and comparative religion. How the lion King relates to Joseph Campbell's Journey is that Simba runs from his problems that happened in their life. Simba run from the situation that was happening in his pride. Simba was told to run from his pride by his uncle and not to return so that his uncle could rule the pride for himself. Simba is called to adventure even by his desire to be like his dad who is also his mentor. He Journey's into the unknown when Simba was told to run away from his pride because he thought he was the one that killed his dad. Simba tried and failed and grew into a young male lion. When Simba said he can't go back anymore but Rafiki told Simba that his dad lives in him. Simba realizes that he needs to go back and take his role in life to become the king he was meant to be. He finally changes into the king he was supposed to be. He returns to the pride land and makes up for what he did explain the death of his dad to all then he found out that his dad's death wasn't his fault. Then he gets a gift of his family back also his evil uncle Scar. He saves the day like every other hero does. BOOM.

I think that joseph campbell's story relates to the lion king because it first starts off with nothing happening to him and then all these little things start coming his way and sometimes start causing traumatic events for him. Same thing kind of happen to simba she went to a new place and started a new life there and then all these little things started coming her way causing issues. One thing that for sure relates to each other is that simba lost her dad and she didn’t know how to react to it and It sounds like something similar happened to joseph campbell. The hero's journey has to climb mountains to solve problems kinda like the lion king does. When simba starts his journey he has no idea what he is going for and the same thing happened in the hero's journey they just don’t know what is going to happen until it does. When they finish fighting their enemies they go back to normal life with all the new and different friends. Simba had also gone away for a while to figure things out and i can personally relate that to the hero's journey because they both changed stuff around for a little while then came back to their regular life with the re regular friends. They all had big battles but they didn't realize it tell after it happened. I think that in the end the big battles benefited them with a new and fresh start and the same thing with a fresh beginning. But they never actually new that happened until a little bit after. I personally think that it took simba awhile to realize that he will always carrying his dads role in life and that he would always be remembered as the person to take over. I think that this made him a little bit stronger tho. If something like that happened to me I think that it would be a wake up call to me and saying that I need to step up and take role because that is people know me as now.

Google “Joseph Cambell's hero’s journey”. Read and learn about it. Then type three hundred and fifty or more words about how The Lion King relates to Joseph Campbell’s hero’s journey. In what ways does Simba take the journey of a hero? On this amazing journey, he starts with nothing and thinking that no worries are the answer due to some lonely characters who don't have a purpose in life and rather not help out anyone. But later the main character finds old friends along his journey and they help him to get back on the path to be a true leader as he was raised to be. The hero ends up going through a dilemma of who he thinks he is and tries to understand what is life and with some help from a family friend, he finally understands who he is meant to be. As he returns home, he sees how his home has been destroyed and this doesn't just give him anger but also gives him the motive to defeat the evil leader and take the throne for himself. As he fights for the freedom of his family and for his throne, he finds out that the accident of his father dying when Simba was a child, that Scar was the one that killed him on purpose and this fuels Simba to carry the fire into the fight of the ancestors. When Scar is cornered he starts to attack his own teammates due to the fact that he thinking he can push the blame to someone else, which was a bad decision by him because when it was all said and done the hyenas cornered Scar and killed him. With the lion king, it is set up very close to Josephs's, The Hero Journey, where the hero left home, learned new things, overcame a very dramatic thing in his life, comes back, and fights for what he believes in. And for a final destination is resting and peacefulness for the rest of life, for another person to go through their own journey. The only thing is that the lion king has Simba coming back and fighting where most of the charts had him fight then come home to victory.

Joseph Campbell’s The Hero’s Journey is a cycle that can be followed for the movie “The Lion King”.

In “The Lion King” Simba starts out by being born. He was born into a family that leads the tribe. The tribe led by his father Mufasa. From the time Simba was born, he was being taught all of the things that he needed to know before he would become the leader. Mufasa was kind and patient but also had the responsibility to keep his son and pride safe. Simba was always being called out to adventure by wanting to know what was in his surroundings. Mufasa expected his son to listen and follow his training and wishes.
The other character that was brought in to the story was Scar. Scar was Simba’s uncle. At first, Scar appeared to be nice and caring towards Simba, but soon his intentions became known. Scar’s ultimate intention was to take over the pride. This made him very competitive, disrespectful and manipulative towards Mufasa. One example, Scar told Simba about a graveyard. Scar told him that it was an Elephant graveyard. This made Simba curious and this lead Simba to disobey his father’s wishes by leaving the pride to go to the elephant graveyard. Mufasa went to get Simba from the graveyard and explained more about the land.
Scar told Simba that his dad has a surprise for him down in the canyon. Scar had a plan to scare some wildebeests to get Simba. Scar then went back to get Mufasa saying that Simba was in danger. Mufasa gets there and sees his son in trouble. Mufasa saved his son but was not able to save himself. Scar was ultimately the cause of Mufasa’s death, however, he blamed it on Simba. This caused Simba to leave pride.
On his journey, Simba met some mentors to help him along the way and to teach him. Some of his mentors were Nala, Timon, Pumba, Rafiki, and Zazu. They went on his adventures with him as he was growing.
Some of the challenges and temptations that Simba went through include living like no cares existed in the world. They had to learn how to eat and survive without the watch of pride. Simba also had his father’s memory and words to tell him what to do. He would talk to the sky when his father’s face showed up. Another challenge is that Scar was now leading the pride back at home and bringing in some hyenas to do his dirty work for him. The pride turned into a horrible place to live...no food and water. The other lions were so desperate to find the help that they sent Nala to find help. She found Simba.
This was where the transformation really started to begin for Simba. This was a friendship that led to love. Nala told Simba that the pride was terrible and has become a wasteland.
Simba, with the help of his mentors, went back to the pride to reclaim his birth given right. To do this they had to beat Scar at his own game.
Simba’s atonement was asking for forgiveness in his decision to get run off after his father passed away. He needed to regain everyone’s trust. In doing this, Scar ran off of the pride and Simba took his place a King of the pride. Nala stayed with Simba and they became “a couple”. This was the gift to the pride.
