Yes, I would most definitely recommend this movie because I personally think it shows and gives good lessons. For example, the quote that says don't judge a book by its cover, I think it's good to not judge a person by what there looks, the way they talk, their skin color, what kind of clothes they wear, etc. I think that those are good lessons because you never know how much one word can hurt a person. So just remember the way you treat someone they may never forget that. And I would recommend this movie to my parents because they drive a van for kids with special needs. And they love doing that because they are always happy and always are smiling. I personally think that this would be a good movie for them to watch.
Yes, I would definitely recommend this film to people like my family and friends because it was a great movie. Right away my eyes were immediately glued to the screen and I never lost focus in the movie because there was not one part that didn't have me wondering what's next. The movie was definitely worth giving 2 hours of my own time because it was an amazing film and showed multiple good "pictures" throughout the film. For example, Karl Childers is still treated fairly by some people throughout the film that shows even if your different physically and mentally doesn't mean you should be treated any differently. Another good picture it shows is that age doesn't define friendships because even though there may be a huge age gap Frank and Karl were the best of friends and loved each other. I think I would recommend this movie to anyone who was interested in sad movies are movies that have a interesting and unique plot. This movie tells a story in a way that not many can and you leave the theatre having learned to understand something better than you previously did. I'd recommend it to my father, my brother, my sister, and my mother. I'd recommend it to my neighbor, and a stranger. I think everyone who can handle a little bit of nasty language would love to see this film and they would agree that it is definitely worth two hours of your time. Knowledge is worth all the time you can put into obtaining it. Knowledge is power. I think that you can learn so much from this movie. The age gap between Karl and Frank is offset by Karls intelligence and longing for a normal childhood and Franks kindness. That is just one example. When Karl says something he thinks about it for a while but it is more than a good thing because what he says is important. People could learn that they should think more about the things they say too. The lessons to be learned in this movie are enormous. I think that in order for people to grasp as much as possible from this movie they need to watch it a couple of times and think about the symbolism and philosophical aspects of the movie. It is so important that people know how to treat other people.
Yes, I would recommend this movie. It goes over pretty well how the mentally disabled were treated back in those days. It is very informative as well on our behavior in society, how we should treat others, how we should talk to others. So I would recommend this movie to my friends and family because it's a great film and really eye-catching. So it is for sure going to keep you entertained for the 2 hours it plays. Now back to what i was saying about people treating Karl different than others. Not everyone treats him in any bad way. They see the good, sweet, kind and respectful guy that Karl truly is and everyone sticks up for him to. It shows in the movie different ways you can be a good role model for the younger generation as well. Like when Karl and the boy were talking at their “secret spot” Frank asked Karl questions like his childhood and why he was in the institution and just become best friends with him. But when Frank is asking all the questions he explains that a boy his age doesn’t need to know about killing. Just from that it shows how people with disabilities can still play a positive role on society more than people that go throughout their days looking for all the negative things in life. Karl makes a good example and sets off the kid Frank on a decent head start in life. Showed him right from wrong, was a good listener, protected Frank and others when it was needed, also karl being able to sit there and not get all worked up over people calling him names leaves a good example on when people are making fun of you that you just brush it off your shoulders.
Keisha Felcher. I would recommend this movie to my friends because it’s a good movie and I honestly believe that they would enjoy watching the movie. I guess I would also recommend the movie to my parents too. But they don’t really watch movies like that. If I were to ever talk about movies to someone I would recommend this movie to them so they have ideas on what movies to watch. It’s a really good movie to recommend to your friends or family or just anyone in particular. I honestly think that this movie is worth giving two hours of your time. It’s just a really good movie to see and how the plot plays out. It also shows that Karl does really have a good heart and he just wants to sets thing straight and right and make peace with people or have friends. I think this movie is worth giving two hours of your time because when you watch it you might learn something from it and you’ll never know it. For example, like how to treat people when they act like Karl, just take things slow and easy. I also honestly believe that people might enjoy this movie too and might say it was worth watching it.
I would recommend the movie to friend or family because friends or family are people who are close to you and they might listen to your suggestions. Is the movie worth two hours. I would say yes because it shows us that even if you do something bad you do have a chance to redeem yourself. Look at carl he did some bad things but he seems that he wouldn't hurt anyone unless it was to protect someone and he managed to turn his life around he got a job he was good at and ment frank who was a good friend and ment his mother who he also liked i think it shows that he is not threatening. So i think that it would be worth the two hours because it shows use that even if you do some bad things it doesn't always mean your a bad person and they also teach us that you can turn your life around and you can always get another chance i think that it is a good lesson to live by because everyone makes mistakes in your life the important thing is that you will always have another chance to try to fix or improve your life hopefully for the better. So in conclusion i would recommend the movie Sling Blade for many reasons because it shows us many powerful lessons it shows us you can turn your life around for the better that you can improve your life and also it is just a really good movie to watch.
I would recommend this movie to everyone. It teaches you how people can act like and how much a person been facing. Like I said before this movie had my full attention, unlike other movies I just doze off. I really felt bad for Karl ever since the beginning of the movie. I could see that how he was talking and explaining his story to a news reporter he wouldn't hurt anyone on purpose just for a good cause so maybe that person wouldn't hurt anyone else again. I say this film teaches us don't judge a book by its cover. Back when this movie came out they used the word retarded a lot but nowadays it's really disrespectful and I agree 100% that why we sign the poster at school. We should always be nice to people that may not do the exact things we can do. Like everyone's different from each other and learns and have different interests. In life period friends and family are everything. They make you what you are and teach you what good and bad in the world and Karl didn't have that with his family. Friends save you from people picking on you and have nice conservation with them without making fun of you. I think friends make you feel happy without friends you would do nothing and not experience the world with other people and go to movies and other recreation. Lastly, I recommend this movie to everyone because it's entertaining and interesting.
I would recommend this movie to anyone. It teaches you how to act when people may make you mad. Back when the movie came out you could say retarded but nowadays it's very disrespectful to anyone. In life friends are everything. Friends are good for you because they make you laugh and make you feel apart of everything. Right as Karl got out of the hospital he got something to eat, and meet a new friend and helped his new friend carry some laundry. It takes a lot to make Karl say something but when he doe's say something he puts you in your place. It show's that an old person can be friends with a kid. Karl relized the world was to big for him and relized the world had to many bad people in it that he thought he would have to take care of..
I would recommend this movie to everyone. It teaches how people were treated in their life and still care for other people. It also teaches you how people can act and see how much there been through and what they're facing. This movie had my full attention during the whole movie before I wouldn’t pay that much attention when I watch other movies. I feel bad for Karl for what he had to go through and how he was treated poorly. No one should be treated that way. It made me feel bad seeing how Karl was treated with care in the world and how his parents didn’t really care for him. It shows me how people with disability everyone can bring them down and it shouldn't matter if they are different everyone is different in their own way. Karl might have done something bad in his childhood but he learned from his experience he wouldn't hurt anyone if they didn’t do him wrong. I would say this movie teaches people everyone can treat people with respect even if they might have a disability or with special needs. If they care about you and show you respect for who you are that should only matter. In life and reality, family and friends mean a lot to people they can change you and make you a better person. Friends make you in a good mood and they get you out of the house instead of you staying inside doing nothing Lastly I would recommend this movie to everyone because it's show’s people how you can truly treat someone and it's also entertaining and interesting to watch.

I would recommend this movie to anyone its that good. This movie shows you what a man would do for a family he barely knows but they needed help.this movie interested me and made me not want to wait the full day to come back to class and watch it this movie grabbed my full attention. This movie would be great t recommend to other students i bet my parents already saw this because it's an older movie but i would tell friends if they were looking for a good movie to watch on there free time.this movie teaches you what you could do for others and what others can do for you.

I would recommend sling blade to people 12 and up because it’s not really a bad movie for kids but it has the scene at the end of him killing somebody and it has some bad words in the movie. Overall I think it’s a good movie. I think it’s worth your 2 hours of your life because it has a good message behind the movie. I think the message behind the movie that all people can be good if they want to be don’t judge a person by their look because not that many would of trusted Karl by his looks because he is not mental health and he doesn’t look the best since that kid saw him and he wasn’t in the best shape either he let him help him and it shows that people don’t treat the mentally ill very well but when the kid came along he trusted him to bring the laundry home and he brought him to the house and then after that he invited him to stay at the house and not a lot of people would have done especially back then. I think the grandparents would like this movie because I don’t know when this took place but maybe they could make some connections from the movie. You can tell that Carl cared because he won’t of kill that guy if he didn’t care about the kid's feelings and he could tell that they didn’t like because when he gets drunk he gets really mean.
I would recommend this movie too anyone who is looking for a great movie to gain knowledge from. I feel as if the biggest thing to take away from the movie is don't judge a book by its cover. I say that because i feel that if anyone knew what karl had truly done when he was first released he would have been truly ashamed by a lot of people and that he wouldn't have gotten the same treatment as he did when he kinda kept it too himself with out really telling what his has past had held for him. Also feel that karl didn't have a choice for what he did when he was a kid, he was overruled by his parents by telling him what to do. When karl had buried his baby brother he did the right thing to give him a proper burry sight. His father wanted him to just dispose of the body even when the baby was still alive in the blanket crying. Just from that you can tell that Karl didn't mean harm to anyone and he wanted the best and for himself to be the best and not to do wrong. Karl says that he read the bible when he goes back and sees his father, when he was a kid his parents said things to him that wasn't from the bible but proclaimed that they were,
I would recommend this movie to anyone who is looking for a movie that teaches things that life isn’t perfect for everybody or anybody. I would recommend this to my parents and friends. I think this movie is giving up two hours of your life and your time because it shows how Carl has struggles in life and that he try to think of the positive. How Carl is in an institution and gets a lot out and realizes that the world is too big and kills Doyle for reason to protect Frank and Linda. And I think this is a Very important movie because I just like how it shows the true meaning of this world and how doesn’t hide things like some movies do they hide the bad things in life and other movies like this one bring out some those bad things. Very important movie because I just like how it shows the true meaning of this world and how doesn’t hide things like some movies do they hide the bad things in life and other movies like this one bring out some those bad things. Finn
I would recommend this movie to everyone. It is a good movie to learn from and get valuable information on. Like how we should treat people, how people were treated back in the day, and how people can change for the better. Now the movie has moments where it isn’t that interesting but the overall movie is highly effective on getting peoples attention and getting them to sit and watch the movie. The movie is a little messed up with karl killing people and the things his parents did to him. He went through a lot and he turned out to be really respectful and doesnt listen to the things people say about him. I think just that is a good example again on how we should be when people talk bad among someone else or about you. It shows the different ways you can be a role model to the younger generation. I think the its a good movie to show kids how we should treat others and other people with disabilities as well. They have problems we dont deal with on an everyday basis and shows how they get through the day taking all the negativity thrown at the disabled.
This is a movie that I would recommend to anyone looking for a good movie who is old enough to understand the underlying meaning of it and able to look far enough into it. This movie shows how a little bit of the real world really is and just how cruel and blunt it can be. It deals with issues like mental illness, mentally disabled people, child neglect, child abuse, alcoholism, homophobia, and death. The movie also just has a nice story where you are able to see a bit of all walks of life. This is a movie I think I learn a lot about. A father should be stern, but in a loving matter while a mother should be loving, but stern when she has to be. There are parents out there who don't understand how things should be so they neglect their children and this is not okay. Child abuse is a common issue that will never be fully resolved, but this movie can at least help to raise awareness of it. This movie also helps to raise awareness of the abuse of the mentally disable and people who don't have the ability to understand when they are being abused or taken advantage of and not able to understand. -Joseph Wardlow
I would recommend this movie to a lot of people. It has a lot of meaning on friendship and love for people. It shows that even though Karl isn't mentally capable like everyone else, he still has a good heart and does what he feels is right, he can't really help in any other way. I think this movie is definitely worth two hours of time due to the fact that it shows the life of a man who grew up in poor circumstances, did something wrong but that he thought was right, and he would do it again if it meant protecting people that he cared about or loved. Some people don't understand or care about the children they bring into the world thus resulting in the millions of children in the foster care program and on the streets. This movie kind of helps to open up your eyes and see what others can be going through and to show that people are jerks because they can be, and no one will do anything about it.-ZoieHite
