Dis/agree—due September 12
Pick one to write 100+ words in dis/agreement:
1. Women should keep their last names after marriage.

I think it is up to the couple and if they want to change their last name really I don’t care if I had to change my last name or not it doesn't really add or subtract anything from my life. Now not all men are competitive and not all women are relaxed my mom is more competitive than my dad. I don't know why you are targeting just men it is all people falt for pollution. Companies have women up in the high rollers table to. In some places they are but that is just for things that a group can’t solve then they could have a dictator. I guess if you want to share but sometimes people ask for things that you need to keep so if you shared all the time you might not get the item you need at the time.
Bruce So I picked men are too competitive which is true in a relationship because they seem the one to always pick on the women and mess around with them. Also, they seem to always be competition and also be one step above the women. Also the men always think about themselves and the women and they think everything is all about them and are in their own world. Then they also are competitive because they won’t do anything and have someone do it for them and just boss people around and sit on their butts. Also, they have to be better than everyone and they have to be better than other men that they are not the same and have to be better. But once in a while, you will get a man that is nice and kind and caring for the women and treats them with respect.
I think it is up to the couples to decide if they want to change their last name or not because in most marriages they will decide a lot of things with their life partner so they can talk about this and if both of them agrees they will change it or if they don't they both will keep their last names. I think most of the time we should live it up to the couples to decide. There might be some people that don't agree with this but it is just my opinion. Most of the people get married and share ideas together instead of just deciding it by our self and it is more helpful to see another person's view because they might have not thought about that idea before. In most marriages, the couples agree to change their last name and there might be other couples that will change their last name unwantedly( without wanting to change). This might happen in ruler areas how they have to change their last name but this doesn't happen in most countries now.
I think women should keep their last name after marriage because it would be easier for people to find her. If she was a teacher it wouldn’t be so hard on the kids to have to switch names that they originally call them. It could be a family name and that name could mean a lot to the girl who just got married. I also think that us girls shouldn't have to pay to change their name because that could mean something to them. I don’t think that women should have to have their spouse's last name to prove they love them. Maybe this is just my personal opinion.
I'm in the middle of this cause there is someplace that does need a dictator. Because there are extremely bad people around the world. And they need to be put in check cause if there a Dictators they would have to listen to their rule. And someplace that does have Dictators probably have a low crime rate. And there would not be people talking bad about their president or leader or treating them. But the problem is that if there was a Dictators they would have to much power and all that power can go to the wrong person. And they could be a threat to other countries.
I don’t necessarily agree or disagree with whether or not women should change their last name to there husbands. I believe that it is an individual decision as a couple. If the women want to have her husbands' last name then that is just fine. But if she wants to keep her last name I believe she has every right to do so and the man can change his last name to his wife's. It should be a decision made together and based on the meaning of who would change their name. The woman may want to change her name to her husband for various reasons but she also may want to keep it. It all depends on the individual couple and there reasoning behind there decision, it could go either way. Biren
For my blog, I chose to agree that men are too competitive. I agree that men are too competitive because it is obvious that they are. Pretty much anything a guy does whether it is playing football or ping pong and even little things like who can take the trash out faster men just don't like to lose. I am this way I hate losing no matter what it is, my dad and I are always competing with everything no matter where we go. I think it is in a man's blood to not lose and that's why we are like this.
Dictators are not necessary at all. I completely think dictators are not the right thing. If america was a dictatorship we all would just be little ants that work for our leader. I think everyone should live how they want to the government's job is to make laws to benefit our country. Not to control the people. I'm hoping a dictatorship will never happen in america and don’t think it ever will because people are stubborn in america and we would fight for our rights to be ourselves and live free. But dictatorships our completely wrong and never should happen no one should be able to have that much power.
I chose 100 words on sharing is the best thing to do. The reason I chose that sharing is the best thing to do is because if we share there will be no reason to fight. If we share there will be less fighting and arguing over things that shouldn't be fought over. You don't have to share most of one thing but a little could stop fighting and create peace. Sometimes sharing isn't necessary like sharing personal things or private things but other things are nice and cause less fighting.
I personally believe that the wife should change their last name due to how its always been in my family and also it looks kinda weird when the wife wants to keep her name out of the blue. And it also goes with the way people say to pass on the family name which is said to have a boy. I'm very traditional and sometimes I ease up and let something pass but with this kind of thing, I don't exactly like. And that goes with most things, like piercings and tattoos, I don't like them unless it has a special meaning to you or your family. -Haas
Women should not keep their last names after marriage. Because marriage is something that does agree to be with the person for the rest of your life. When a person that is married special women and the people ask her for her name, that can be an interview to get a new job or can be a show to participate to get money can be in school. People can see the differential of a married person or not and what another way can be if you have the last name of your partner. I think that’s a great idea and we need to keep it forever.

I disagree that dictators are necessary we don’t need dictators because people are not slaves and they treat people like slaves. I think that every country should have a president and I don’t know how people can live like that someone with absolute power but it is scary because history has shown us, bad dictators like Adolf Hitler, Joseph Stalin and many more. Look at what happen when they were in power, Hitler started wars and Joseph ruled people by terror with his brutal regime. They both did horrific things to society that nobody can undo anything about it which is sad but everyone has recovered well and I hope that never happens again because nobody deserves that much power over the people.
Meinert I don’t think that women should keep their last name because it is a tradition in my family to keep for the man to keep his last name and to share it with his spouse. The women should give up their last name because it is a commitment to the guy.

I chose 100 words on sharing is the best thing to do. The reason I chose that sharing is the best thing to do is because if we share there will be no reason to fight.
