Webb, Parker I think for grit it should be defined as someone who could take what was thrown at them to take damage and come out and continue on and as they would take more and more it would continue to push beyond as more is thrown on glass is a good person who should fit for grit he would be injured to a inch of life left in him by a bear he would see his son die and would then push on left to die he would also have to evade Native Americans it would prove that he has grit and in the past, he would have survived an attack of tribes that also had his wife killed and Hawks mother it would be more evidence of that.
Bruce Choose one to write 250+ total words, including the narrative The Revenant: 1. Beyond dictionary.com, how should we define "grit"? How we should define grit is that they are small loose particles of stone or sand and courage and resolve; strength of character. Those are two ways to describe grit and I think that the second definition is a better way to describe grit because based on the movie you need a lot of courage and resolve strength of character in that movie. I also think this one goes well with the movie because glass is very courage and resolving person because he is a very strong person and he knows what he is doing and from being attacked by a bear and he is still trying to survive on his own without his son and his foot are broken. Also, glass has a lot of grit in my mind because he has a lot of courage and strength and power to keep on fighting back. He is doing that because he has to get revenge on the dudes that killed his son and cause them to lay there and suffer. How I would describe grit in this movie is that this whole movie has a lot of it because each character has it in the movie for how much bravery they have to do and fighting for their lives and some characters are the bad people and some are the good people and both sides have a lot of grit in their minds and soul and evil.
riley Schoreder How i would describe grit is that it keeps us going and we wont stop until it is gone or we are dead. We wont stop until we fell like are purpose is done and then it goes until we need it again. But until it comes back we don't have any and it will come back. It can cause us to do things that we wouldn’t do nomaly. It can cause problems to others to because it can make others bull headed. We can be unwilling to listion to others and even hurt those we love. Good job me

I chose the question “why do cultures clash so often?”. The reason that I chose that question is that I feel like this is a common question or something that a lot of people wonder or think about. Well, One of the reasons that I think that cultures clash so often is because everyone's culture has different ways they do something or they prefer something different and that their laws are different. So with everything being a slight difference in the different cultures, it causes them to clash. So if one culture says one thing and another culture says another thing and if they are near each other or in the same general area the cultures clash and people tend to fight and the fights can be brutal and cause war or violence. When cultures are completely different that's when cultures clash more because the rules, laws, and customs are so different and one side will say that they are right and the other side will say that their way is the right way and they both like to think that their way is the right way and so they fight because they don't want to be “wrong” when they just want to overpower each other. The problem with cultures clashing will never change and never solve themselves.
Meinert Why do cultures clash so often? I believe cultures clash as we are all human. Growing up, culture and values are taught to us by our parents, grandparents, and relatives. Each of us has been raised differently and to believe different things. This culture and value system people hold tightly too. Even within my own culture- there are different beliefs and values. Carrying on the traditions, values, and beliefs of my family is very important to me and my family. These are the same values that I will look for in a future wife and wish to give to my future children as well. I think that when there are so many beliefs out there, there is bound to clash with different people. Everyone thinks that the way that they are raised and their values are the most important. People honor their family and their childhood very much. I don’t think that it is right to think that only one culture is right or wrong. I think that it is important to hear other people and listen to them. Talk about the differences and listen. I think that this is really important when online and when talking in person with people. We need to see people for their individual personalities and realize how each person is unique. We can learn a lot from others. In the story, this is made true by the tribal Indians and “white” people. The tribes thought that the “white” people took the daughter of the tribal leader. The tribe started to kill the “white” people. They held their values tightly and believed that what they were bringing justice to their tribe. We also saw the “white” man give the tribal daughter some food. This showed compassion and love for the other tribe even though they were fighting. I believe that cultures clashed in history and they will continue to clash in the future.
I think grit should be defined as someone that can handle the hardest situation that gets thrown at them from their life. It also means facing tough situations and also being able to stand strong without falling. For me, it also means you have a lot of problems and you have a lot of problems and you attack it with patience, courage and also with a lot of hope. It also means finding different ways to help yourself get through a tough situation that comes in your daily life.
Ariah Helseth I find grit as someone who can handle a tragedy or a bad event that happened to them in their lives. Grit also means Courage and resolve ; Strength of character. Someone with grit could be having a lot of problems in their lives that are hard to deal with. Someone that has grit is someone that is strong and knows how to handle things in the best way and it is someone who can handle something that is really hard to handle. Not everyone has grit. It depends on how you handle bad things in your life. People with grit are people that know how to handle bad things and they know how to cope with bad things that happen in their lives. Someone with grit can take whatever gets thrown at them and they can take bad things and learn to deal with them and move on with life. They know how to handle things in the best way and right way as possible. People with grit know how to not give up on life even when there is bad things going on or when they are having hard times in life. They don’t ever give up and they always keep going and they always keep fighting and trying. They go on and try to think about the good things in life and try not to think about the bad things in life as much as possible. People with grit have a lot of courage and they are also brave and smart and know how to handle themselves though bad things in their lives.
I think how we should define grit is how someone can take a devasting punch to the gut and every time he/she gets hit with that kind of blow they keep getting back up and trying again and again until they don’t get knocked down. I also think how you can define grit is how much pain the person is willing to go through to make it to the end and completing what they started, someone doing that shows everyone that they could do something when everyone else kept on telling them they couldn’t do it. I think why cultures clash so often is that when one doesn’t like the other cultures intention’s they are willing to fight back for what they believe in and are willing to die for there land because when we look at our history we stole this land from the Native Americans and it started a war because neither culture liked each other and all Americans would like to think that we always had this land but we stole this land from the natives and we destroyed their way of life all because we wanted all of the lands instead of what we agreed on with the natives who were already living on this land. I also think another reason why cultures clash so often is that we Americans are greedy and when something doesn’t go our way, we have no problem of hurting some to get what we want and that is a big reason why cultures clash a lot and that refers back to the movie the revenant.
1) Grit. Many things can go along with this word, but what it is used most with is when someone is courage and resolve. This truly defines the strength of character. Maybe it’s from them being very strong or maybe the smartest one in the movie but there is still many strengths of a person without all the muscles and how much they can lift. Like for example, Tony Stark from Avengers. He is definitely not the strongest hero in the movie and maybe not the smartest either but he has the biggest heart out of all of them. He went out of his way to risk his life when he was already retired and went back into battle and tried to save everyone he could well knowing the cost of his life. He still did it with no second thought. Now that is someone with grit.
2) Cultures crashing has been apart of history as long as we know, but why? Maybe its because there was something that went wrong and they just didn’t understand so they went to fighting. Well, there could be multiple ways of why but I for one realize that it is a human instinct to be concerned about something that is out of the ordinary for you and that is exactly what happened back in the day when people went into war. Civil War….. the north wanted to let the slaves be free and the south saw this as one of the weird things that they didn’t understand so what did they do? They went to war. -Haas

I choose why cultures clash so often? Well, this has been happening since the beginning of the times. “We are the product of ignorant people who have been thought an ignorant thing in which is there are four or five different races there are not four or five races there is only one race in the surface of the earth and we all are members of that race the human race, but we have separated people into races so then some of us can see ourselves superior to the others we thought that that would work and it had work but it been bad for everyone”.The human being sadly always wants to be on top of other people that look different than others. The rich class or poor class everything is based on that. The fight over power over others has created so many war battles and the cause of that is innocent people dying. When two groups or more people from different ethnicities fight because they want resources or some type of land that the other wants to have and in order to have it they need to fight over it. Everything that has been learned we can unlearn it and we should teach our children that there are not many races and that there is only one the humans' races only one the human race is time to change for the new generations.

How should we define grit? Well to me grit means that your tuff and you’re not afraid to take a hit. Why do cultures crash so much? I think that cultures clash so much is that they don’t believe in the same thing so they don’t agree and when you don’t agree with something or someone you want that thing out of your life. In the show, there is clashing between the ree and the fur traders and they kill each other because they want everything for there culture and nothing for the other culture.
