The first one that I am going to pick is the first one which is when selfishness becomes evil. A part of the revenant that happens is when the glass was attacked and mauled by a bear, with two other members of the expedition being left behind to stay with glass until he died and they buried him. That part shows selfishness and to become evil after they buried him they just left him and they were supposed to stay with him because he was the only person knows the way out and around the place they were in and they just left him that shows selfishness and when the evil part came in is when they left him and Fitzgerald killed glass is son because Fitzgerald tried to kill glass and then hawk started screaming for the other person to come and save him but then he stabbed glass son hawk cause he told him not to scream cause it was between the two. I see that as evil cause glass couldn’t protect his son and then Fitzgerald killed him because he called for the other person to come and help him get Fitzgerald off of him I see that as evil and Fitzgerald is the bad guy in the movie. The second one I am going to be talking about is the last one which is how storytellers help us invest. How they help us invest is they try to pursue us into the movie so that we would like it and get into it and maybe buy the movie so they could the money and that they want the customers to like the movie and be impressed with the movie and talk about to other people so that the word goes around about the movie so people keep going to the movie and it is in our interest to go see.

The two that I have chosen are number one which is “when does selfishness become evil?” And the third question which is “how do storytellers help us invest?” When does selfishness become evil? I think that selfishness becomes evil when you try to cause harm to others to help save you. That happened in the narrative when Glass was hurt because the bear attacked him and he was on the stretcher type thing and Fitzgerald tried to kill Glass because he was tired of taking care of him and he just wanted to leave so he would have a higher chance to survive and so he got all the money. And when he was trying to kill Glass and Hawk was screaming Fitzgerald stabbed Hawk so he could get away with trying to kill Glass. Not only is trying to kill someone wrong but Glass saved Fitzgerald in their past and if it weren't for Glass then Fitzgerald would be dead so Fitzgerald was trying to kill a man who he owes his life to. Another selfish thing that happened in the movie that was evil is when Fitzgerald told the other guy he seen the Indians so they had to go and so they could leave Glass and they were told that Glass deserved a proper burial but Fitzgerald wanted to leave and they tricked the other guy and they just threw Glass into the hole and hardly covered him in dirt and they ran off. How do storytellers help us invest? Storytellers help us invest by how they tell a story and how it tries to help us comprehend things and think about certain things.
riley Schroeder I think that when selfishness becomes evil is when we stop thinking about the other person and try to do what ever it takes to get to are goal even step over others. Kind of like when that one guy gave the main character in the movie we are watching a chose to let him kill him. And then takes his sons life. And then also lies to the kid to get them to movie and tries to berry the main guy. Next is the when are we most admirable gentris is when we feel are best. We try to keep that feeling with us no mater what. There will always be times when we feel this but it will always fade away. Nothing last forever. They help show us what might be right or wrong. And can show us that not every one is perfect a hundred percent of the time. They show that we all have flaws no matter what we say or do. There is never a time the the main mc is not in a problem or not having a life crisis. They just keep going with what they think is right and not what others think is wrong. There are to sides of each story. The only one side the will be seen as a hero is the one that wins.

I chose these two questions because I feel like these questions get asked a lot by people and I think people have thought of questions like this before. How does Selfishness become evil? I think the way selfishness becomes evil is by not being able to control yourself because you have a hard time forgive someone for something bad they did or you have a hard time moving on with something bad that you went though or something bad that happen to you or even maybe something bad that someone else that you know went though. Selfishness can become evil when you don’t have grit meaning if you have grit you have a better time handling things better and you know how to just take things to come into your life or things that just get thrown at you in life even if they are bad things. Someone that does not have grit may have a harder time letting go and forgive and expecting the bad things that happened to them and that could lead to selfishness and eventually it could lead to evil things. In the movie the man that left Glass to die was like being selfish and being mean and evil to him because of that when also when the bad guy killed Glasses son Halk. How do storytellers help us invest? Storytellers can help us invest by how they tell the story. Also the emotions and the feelings of the story. The mood and the expressions of the people in the story. Also by how they are talking when telling the story by the tone of voice they use and if the voice is happy or sad or angry depending on what is happening in the story when they are telling us about it. Also by how emotions, mood, tone of voice, and expressions can change as the movie goes on because the emotions, mood, tone of voice, and expressions will not always be the same throughout the whole story, they will change a lot in the story and that is how most stories work and go.

I have seen where people only think of themselves. How is something going to benefit them? How can they cheat, lie, deceive, and go around the system for their benefit. They put their desires, needs, and wants in front of other people. This can cause serious situations for others. I think when you only think of yourself and have no thoughts about how others can be affected by your actions, that this turns evil. I was taught to think of others. I was taught to help others in any way that I can. I think that some people lack those values and are only looking to help themselves. This is when it becomes evil.
In the movie Reverence, this was shown to us by the white people stealing the land and take the Indians things. They did not think about what it would do to the Indians. They only thought of themselves and how it would benefit them.

Most recently, I think about the mission trip that I went on with my church this past summer. We helped inner city people in Indiana. They needed clothing, food, supplies, and places to live. We were able to talk with them, find their needs, and help them get supplies. The people were so grateful that we were there to help them. The one person that I was able to help was so thankful that we could give him bananas. Such a simple thing, but it made the world of difference to him. I was able to talk with him and find out about his life story. I learned so much and I felt blessed that I was there with him at that time. Knowing that everyone has needs, I think that it is admirable to be generous in our daily living as well. I think of now with the virus going on, we could all do generous things to help out our neighbors and family. We can get groceries, we can help do household things for them, and we can just check on them to make sure that everything is going okay. Even though I cannot fix what is happening in the world today, I know that I can make a difference and give myself to others as a helper. This is being generous and grateful.

Like some people are out there buying diapers when they don’t even have kids and they are only doing that because when the world “shuts down” they can make money off of it and charge so much money. Selfishness becomes evil in the narrative when one guy in the narrative has a fish to eat and there was a lady with a baby and they wanted the fish also to survive and eat something. The guy wanted the fish to eat it himself and he only cared about himself and nobody else even if other people died. An example of this can be what is happening with the COVID-19. I have seen so many people at Walmart that are buying things such as food, any type of toilet paper, etc. They are buying so much of this that their selfishness becomes bad because they stopped caring about other people. If other people live day by day with limited money. People have fought in Walmart for toilet paper and I have seen how people grab like 4 packets of toilet paper and other people get to me if we have more because they do not have and same with the food they don’t realize that other people might need it also and other people need food to survive also. They only care to survive themselves and no one else. 2. When are we most admirably generous? This is the opposite of selfishness. This is can be when people get together to help other people like with this places that are in quarantine because of the COVID-19 There are some organizations that join together and give up like food, water, close, mask, and other needs that are required for people that are in this quarantine and others country help to others that need with professionals doctors that have treated other people with the same disease that saved. Other countries send those doctors to help out in many other places that have the same problems that they did deal with.
I think when selfishness becomes evil is when someone is not only trying to get personal gain over you but is trying to put you down so than to that person they won’t have a problem talking about you in a bad way and if the person started to take everything that was yours like him telling your boss that you are not a hard worker even when you show up early and leave later than when you’re allowed to I think that it is wrong for anyone to talk bad about someone that could leave a permanent effect on the person career. I also saw selfishness in the movie the revenant when the captain told Fitzgerald to take care of glass and then a couple of days in he lies to the boy and tries killing glass, then he kills glasses son then after that he lies to the boy about there being ree by the pond so they would leave and then Fitzgerald tried to bury glass alive, and he did all of this just so that he would get the money faster he never cared about glass or the two boys he only wanted the money and that is not only greed but it is also selfishness turned evil. 3. What I think about how storytellers help up invest is when the make a story and in that story, they make a plot twist to where you don’t know where it could end up and then there are other storytellers that make stories that give you drama and they just keep on building and building the drama then it comes down with a huge ending that you didn’t see coming until like 3 to 5 pages before that final page because during that time you start to think and wonder about what will happen next.
The first one that I'm choosing is When does selfishness become evil and what I think is selfishness can become evil when they go through a lot of situations in their life with the people they met. Selfishness can also become evil unexpectedly sometimes like sometimes we might be given to choose our loved one or the thing that we love or care about so we might choose to be evil to save our dream or loved ones. The second one that I'm choosing is When are we most admirably generous? I think we are most admirably generous when we are not selfish and only include you but everyone in the world. For example, in the world current situation (Covid-19) toilet paper, hand sanitizer and baby wipes have become a big problem because some people only think about themselves so they buy half of the store. This becomes a problem especially for single parents or other people can't afford to buy their needs at one time and if they go back to get it again when they finish they won't be able to get it because of the selfishness that people have and just to think for themselves.
When does selfishness turn into evil? That is a big question for many. There are many things going on in the real world that many do not understand nor know about and I would say that this could very well be one of them. I believe that selfishness turns into evil when you take the benefit out of something by knowing that the benefit could take away or harm others to a point. For example, the man who killed the kid took the benefit of getting out of the forest and leaving the dude behind was evil, because he very well knew that if he left the injured man would die. That is the true turning point of evil. Then the man killed the kid when he tried to protect his father. Which also made it easier to get away and leave them behind…. Well, we can all admit that there has been that kid that told some lie when we were a kid and we all believe it so we began to invest into whatever that kid told you. I chose 1 and 3 I thought for 1 a good example is Fitzgerald as he was a person that his selfishness is pointed out in the beginning of the movie as it's only for the money he did this job so he could go back home just to see his family his selfishness turned evil as he killed hawk and left glass for death him just wanting money is what pushed him to be evil as he was just abandoned there by him. I think storytellers help us invest by trying to tell a story that they will find entertaining but also keeping it lore-friendly for the Revenant it was based on a true story so some things will be changed as no movie is truly accurate for the past a good example is saving private Ryan is also based on a true story but told in a completely different way and many holes in the story but they kept us entertained for us as it was the same for the Revenant we have many facts about it but there's still holes so the storytellers fill the holes to entertain us to get us to bite into a hook line and sinker.

I believe that everyone should be at least a little bit selfish. I think you should always put yourself first because your needs should be met before you start helping others. Even though I don’t follow my own thinking I believe it is a much happier way of living. But there is a line on when being too selfish becomes evil. We see people that get consumed with being selfish and putting themselves before everything. To me, once you start taking more then what you need and doing more for yourself than you actually need is when it is too selfish. The greater that happens and the more you take for yourself instead of giving to others is when selfishness becomes evil. How can they cheat, lie, deceive, and go around the system for their benefit. They put their desires, needs, and wants in front of other people. This can cause serious situations for others. I think when you only think of yourself and have no thoughts about how others can be affected by your actions, that this turns evil. I was taught to think of others. And not just yourself or your family cause other people are struggling too.

Selfishness becomes evil in the narrative when one guy in the narrative has a fish to eat and there was a lady with a baby and they wanted the fish also to survive and eat something. The guy wanted the fish to eat it himself and he only cared about himself and nobody else even if other people died. An example of this can be what is happening with the COVID-19. I have seen so many people at Walmart that are buying things such as food, any type of toilet paper, etc. They are buying so much of this that their selfishness becomes bad because they stopped caring about other people. If other people live day by day with limited money. People have fought in Walmart for toilet paper and I have seen how people grab like 4 packets of toilet paper and other people get to me if we have more because they do not have and same with the food they don’t realize that other people might need it also and other people need food to survive also. They only care to survive themselves and no one else.
2. When are we most admirably generous? This is the opposite of selfishness. This is can be when people get together to help other people like with this places that are in quarantine because of the COVID-19 There are some organizations that join together and give up like food, water, close, mask, and other needs that are required for people that are in this quarantine and others country help to others that need with professionals doctors that have treated other people with the same disease that saved. Other countries send those doctors to help out in many other places that have the same problems that they did deal with.
I think when selfishness becomes evil is when someone is not only trying to get personal gain over you but is trying to put you down so than to that person they won’t have a problem talking about you in a bad way and if the person started to take everything that was yours like him telling your boss that you are not a hard worker even when you show up early and leave later than when you’re allowed to I think that it is wrong for anyone to talk bad about someone that could leave a permanent effect on the person career. I also saw selfishness in the movie the revenant when the captain told Fitzgerald to take care of glass and then a couple of days in he lies to the boy and tries killing glass, then he kills glasses son then after that he lies to the boy about there being ree by the pond so they would leave and then Fitzgerald tried to bury glass alive, and he did all of this just so that he would get the money faster he never cared about glass or the two boys he only wanted the money and that is not only greed but it is also selfishness turned evil. 3. What I think about how storytellers help up invest is when the make a story and in that story, they make a plot twist to where you don’t know where it could end up and then there are other storytellers that make stories that give you drama and they just keep on building and building the drama then it comes down with a huge ending that you didn’t see coming until like 3 to 5 pages before that final page because during that time you start to think and wonder about what will happen next.

For example, in the world current situation (Covid-19) toilet paper, hand sanitizer and baby wipes have become a big problem because some people only think about themselves so they buy half of the store. This becomes a problem especially for single parents or other people can't afford to buy their needs at one time and if they go back to get it again when they finish they won't be able to get it because of the selfishness that people have and just to think for themselves.

There are many things going on in the real world that many do not understand nor know about and I would say that this could very well be one of them. I believe that selfishness turns into evil when you take the benefit out of something by knowing that the benefit could take away or harm others to a point. For example, the man who killed the kid took the benefit of getting out of the forest and leaving the dude behind was evil, because he very well knew that if he left the injured man would die. That is the true turning point of evil. Then the man killed the kid when he tried to protect his father. Which also made it easier to get away and leave them behind…. Well, we can all admit that there has been that kid that told some lie when we were a kid and we all believe it so we began to invest into whatever that kid told you. That’s the same with storytellers in the movie, they say something so believable that you get either scared or happy that you invest into it without even knowing the outcome even if it’s not true.

Well selfishness because evil when someone is getting hurt in some way whether that be physical or internal hurt. In the film when that guy kills glasses son so they can move faster. I chose 1 and 3 I thought for 1 a good example is Fitzgerald as he was a person that his selfishness is pointed out in the beginning of the movie as it's only for the money he did this job so he could go back home just to see his family his selfishness turned evil as he killed hawk and left glass for death him just wanting money is what pushed him to be evil as he was just abandoned there by him. I think storytellers help us invest by trying to tell a story that they will find entertaining but also keeping it lore-friendly for the Revenant it was based on a true story so some things will be changed as no movie is truly accurate for the past a good example is saving private Ryan is also based on a true story but told in a completely different way and many holes in the story but they kept us entertained for us as it was the same for the Revenant we have many facts about it but there's still holes so the storytellers fill the holes to entertain us to get us to bite into a hook line and sinker.

I believe that everyone should be at least a little bit selfish. I think you should always put yourself first because your needs should be met before you start helping others. Even though I don’t follow my own thinking I believe it is a much happier way of living. But there is a line on when being too selfish becomes evil. We see people that get consumed with being selfish and putting themselves before everything. To me, once you start taking more then what you need and doing more for yourself than you actually need is when it is too selfish. The greater that happens and the more you take for yourself instead of giving to others is when selfishness becomes evil. People are often tempted by this when they are in control or have a higher level of power than others. The second prompt is how do storytellers help us invest? Storytellers help us invest in many ways. They help us be apart of telling us a story that we would have never heard of otherwise. They tell us a story that they thought of or made for us. They help us invest time is reading the book or watching the movie that they made. Often times reading or listing to a story makes a come up with our own thoughts and helps spark up an idea of some sort that we are know invested into.
