What is the main idea of Beowulf? For me, I think the main idea or theme of the story of Beowulf is possibly one of human perseverance and willpower to overcome almost impossible odds against the darkness of our world. We see as the story goes on, the crazier and more evil kinds of foes attempt to either kill or manipulate Beowulf, some more effective than others like with Grendel's mother in the 2007 adaptation of the story, where she seduced Beowulf and made him king through lies and dark magic. Time and time again we see Beowulf go and slay these monsters from our world even if they might cost him his or other lives to rid the world of possible dangers and darkness. We see that he is rather very selfless ways of fighting such as the battle between him and Grendel where he takes the troll on without any weapons or armor and told his soldiers to stand back and let him take it on by himself. Yet he persevered against these odd all stacked up against him.
The only thing I did not quite understand was this story some sort of retelling of a historical event but no one recorded it except for one who told it in a fantastical way with heroes and monsters of varying sizes and power. Similar the how there is some truth in old stories and epics like Iliad and the Oddessy, but retold in a more fantasy-like fashion for bards and poets to speak and write about. Some things that are mentioned here in the story did happen but not in the way it was presented in the story.
2. What is the main ideas of the movie Baewolf? The main idea for the movie Baewolf is even when your weak you are still strong and you should never give up. The older you get the smarter and stronger you get. The idea is to never give up on yourself. Always keep fighting.
1. How are Baeowolf and Hrothgar alike? I think they are alike by how they fight. They both fought dragons and they both knew how to kill a dragon. They both died in the same spot and they both had a son that was a monster. They both became king after the king before them passed. They both had the same queen. They both slept with the devil that you could not kill.
6. What do you think causes the dragon cup to come back to the kings? I think the dragon cup comes back because it’s a new king everytime the king passes. I think it comes back to the new king can try and battle. The dragon cup comes back because the devil keeps giving it back to the kings. The cup comes back because when the new king gets it back then the devil can try to take over him.
9. What are some possible solutions to the monsters coming alive? I think one good solution is to stay away form the devil and not have a kid with her. I don’t think she is going away but if the kings stay away from her there would not be a problem with the monsters getting out and destroying their people and or the land.
4. In what way is grendel related to the dragon? I think they are related by the the parents by beowulf and the devil. I think they are related because they did not like that the people and the king were celebrating and having a party. They did not like the land or the people around it when they were mad.
I don’t have too much to say about this movie because I haven’t watched it all, I just saw the last part. I started watching it where Beowulf killed the monster and went to kill the monster’s mother too. According to the part that I saw I think it seems to be interesting to me. I think it is gross, but it's a good movie. I am very picky at the time of choosing a movie but I think this one in specific would catch my attention. Even though I don’t like fiction movies because of all the fake and unrealistic themes, this one was different, I would like to see the graphic magazine. I don’t have anything else to say about this movie but I hope we keep watching movies similar to this one or better. I wish I could watch it from the beginning, get a better understanding and give my opinion about this movie but watching just the end is not enough to write 300 about something I didn’t watch, but I did my best trying to summarize what I saw and what I understood. I think that 200 is enough for me because again I just saw the end so I have too much to say about it.
2)what the main idea of this movie.they wanted a hero that is brave and strong to kill the monster. so after killing the monster there was a plot twist after killing the monster the mother needed a new son so she seduced Beowolf it worked and after that he goes bake to show the king the head of the monster but not the wich the king know what happens and said the Beowulf is the new king.
What do I think causes this? well the first mistake that the king made was even sleeping with the wich that one another is when Beowolf did not finish the tack and get seduced mean I know that the wich can not be killed but a man can hope and I don't know what happened to his friend but I hope that he did not go down the same path as the others did.
1. How are Beowulf and other people alike? Well, I think that they are alike by their flaws. Both make mistakes. They do things that they might regret.
3. What are the strengths and weaknesses of Beowulf? I think that the strength of Beowulf is that he is strong. He demonstrated this when he was going up against Grendel. He is also very athletic, he can do backflips; he can also jump really far and high. He demonstrated all of these when he was going up against Grendel. Another strength is his awareness. His weaknesses are that he is human. The reason why I think this is because he makes mistakes such as when he was going to kill Grendel’s mother. He didn’t really kill her, he slept with her. That is a mistake that he made which proved that he has flaws just like everyone else.
4. In what way is Beowulf related to Hrothgar? They relate in a lot of ways. One way that they relate is that they both are strong. They both killed a dragon. I know this because Hrothgar had a dragon horn and he said that he got from killing a dragon; and when Beowulf killed the dragon at the end of the movie a dragon horn appeared. Another way that they are related in that they both made the same mistake by sleeping with the “devil” instead of killing “it.” Both of them also didn’t have an heir for the throne.
The strengths of Beowulf are that he is a great leader, his men really like his and look up to him. What makes him a good leader is that he stands up for himself when someone starts talking bad things about him. He comes from a powerful family and King Hrothgar knows him because he said Beowulf’s dad’s life. Beowulf is a brave warrior and isn’t afraid of a challenge. One of his weaknesses is he lies about how many demons/monsters he slew. Another one is that his temper isn’t the best because when Unferth was talking bad about him he got defensive really fast and raised his voice. The last weakness is he doesn’t really listen to his men, he just does whatever he thinks is right. Like when his right-hand man Wiglaf tells him not to go into direct battle because he is the king but Beowulf doesn’t listen even though he could've been killed. How are Hrothgar and Beowulf alike. They are alike because they both are known for slaying monsters. Another way they are both alike is they both slept with the demon mother (Grendel's mom) and they both have a kid from her. The last way they are alike in that the dragon horn was returned to them and both of their sons were terrorizing the kingdom. What I still don’t understand is why the king had Beowulf come to fight Grendel when the king knew that Grendel wouldn’t hurt him because he was Grendel’s dad and he easily could’ve killed him when he was right in front of him. Instead, he had Beowulf and his men come to fight him and Beowulf lost some of his great warriors. What is the main idea of Beowulf? I think the main idea of Beowulf is to tell how he slew many monsters/demons and saved a kingdom from the Grendel and a dragon. But I really think it is about how one man was brave enough to take on demons and monsters to save people's lives and risk his own. In my books, Beowulf is the real definition of a hero because of how he acted and he acted heroically.
How are Hrothgar and Beowulf alike? They are alike because they are like the same person. I see them this way because they did the same thing. Hrothgar defended an old king's curse and Beowulf did the same thing. Beowulf took down Grandel, Hrothgar's son, or his curse, as did Hrothgar took down the dragon from the old king. But they are also different because Beowulf said to Hrothgar that “I shall fight the same way as your curse” or something like that. But Beowulf fought Grendel naked to show that he isn’t afraid and that he fought with his bare hands. Beowulf also took Grendel's arm as a token to prove that he killed Grendel. Then Beowulf took down his own curse because he said that this is my own fight to deal with cause he made the mistake of sleeping with Grendel’s mother and then lying about it to the whole kingdom. What made Beowulf know that he had to take down his own curse is when the golden dragon came back to him. The second question is what do you think that causes the curses. What causes the curse is when the hero comes to break the king’s curse but then they go and try to kill the cursed mother. We say that she is the devil because the hero goes and makes a deal with her and she gives them anything that they want. So Beowulf made the deal with the devil and got riches and to be the king. The thing is that the cursed mother can’t be killed because there is nothing strong enough to kill her because she turns into a beautiful woman and then she gets to sleep with them. Now that Beowulf took on his curse and he did and killed it. But now he is dead so he told his friend that he will be king. But now the devil is going to try and get Wiglaf to make a deal with the devil but we don’t know if he took it but I think that he will take it just the fact that she is so beautiful that he will take it. But he will doom his kingdom. Pfeiffer
Bear wolf the great. Bear wolf was just a man with a hero act not scared to die for what he believed in he took the fear of god and put it into everyone's eyes. He was proud of who he was he was question because he lost a swimming race against someone who was really power fully they raced 5 days across the ocean they were neck and neck bear wolf was pacing him self so that he could save energy and kick the crap out of the other guy at the end but on the last day sea monsters came after them bear wolf fought them kill 9 of them and still only barley lost the race. So now he as come to the kingdom to slay the monster grendel. Grindel has killed lots of good men bear wolf was so confident that he would beat grindel that he striped down to the point where he didn't even have under wear on just so that he could show the beast it was gonna be a fair fight. Grendel killed most of bear wolfs men but he could not kill bear wolf. Bear wolf slammed grendel's arm in the door ans ripped it off killing him. Now that grendel is dead his mom is not happy she kills a bunch of the men at the kingdom he goes after her he goes into her cave and they get to talking if bear wolf gives her a kid he can be forever power full so he does years later his sun tries to kill him when fighting his sun they both end up dying a slow painful death and bear wolfs best friend becomes the new king but sadly hes gonna makes the same mistake that bear wolf made and once the monster is pregnant from you you may no longer have a regulerer son they main idea of this storie is to show nometer what there is gunna be eveil in the world but you have to work through it
1. How are Hrothgar and Beowulf alike? The way that Beowulf and Hrothgar are alike is the way they act. The way they act is treating each other like figures; Father figure and son figure and Hrothgar is also a great model for the kind of king that Beowulf later becomes when Hrothgar dies after they killed Grendel.
2. What is the main idea of Beowulf? The purpose of Beowulf is to kill a creature named Grendel who does nothing but terrorize the town whenever they make an inch of noise. When killing the creature you realize that Grendel's mom comes in your way and manipulates you, and lets you know the truth that she's impossible to kill and to be stopped.
3. What are the strengths and weaknesses of Beowulf? The strengths that Beowulf has is the ability of super-speed and strength. His weaknesses, however, are his incapacity to control the effects of his own force. He's been shown to kill a bunch of sea monsters and other creatures. He killed Grendel and his own demonic dragon son whose own mother is the mother of grendal. Beowuld doesn't kill the mother because it's impossible and not likely. He tried to kill her, but she was too strong and she melted his sword. When killing his son he gets injured and gets himself seriously injured and uses every inch of his strength to make the ultimate sacrifice. After making the ultimate sacrifice, he dies at the end.
What do you still not understand about Hrothgar? The thing I still don't understand about Hrothgar is him being drunk and a little lazy all the time. I also have a theory that Hrothgar was manipulated by mother and his son the entire time was Grendel and he was afraid to tell the villagers just like Beowulf did when he was manipulated by the mother and later figured out that he had a son that causes nothing but destruction just like Hrotgar's possible son, Grendel
What are the strengths and weaknesses of Beowulf? I would say the strengths of Beowulf are his bravery, physical strength, and confidence. He’s brave for facing large monsters head-on and saving the kingdom. He’s very physically strong, he was able to take on a Grendel, who was a huge, strong monster, without any weapon but his hands, proving that he was very capable. Finally, he’s confident, he shows no hesitation against fighting these beasts. He would run into battle, risking a lot, but he was confident that he would win. As for his weaknesses, he can be arrogant, egotistical, and overbearing. He’s fairly arrogant because he has an excessive amount of pride within himself. Similar to being arrogant, he’s egotistical because he constantly gloats about all of the crazy and impressive things he’s done throughout his life. He’s overbearing because he has a large desire to succeed and dominate, which could work against him if he isn’t careful or goes too far. What do you think causes more monsters to come into the land? I strongly believe that the mother of Grendel has been tricking the kings, for however long, into giving her a child. This has been indirectly proven but it’s known for sure that Beowulf had a child with her. I think that even Hrothgar was tricked into having a child with her, which I believe is what Grendel was. If this is true, who knows how many more kings there have been that were tricked by her, and how long she’s even been there. If she’s been around for a long time, there’s a large chance she has in fact tricked many other kings and that’s why monsters terrorize the land. From what we saw at the end of the movie, the cycle may just continue for much longer.
what is the main idea of Beowulf? the main idea of Beowulf is that there was a curse over the land and they need a hero to break it but when they destroy the kid they cant destroy the mother and the get seduced and cursed then the cycle starts over again unless they are able to destroy the mother but nothing will harm her. what are the strengths and weaknesses of Beowulf? One strength of Beowulf is that he is a strong man. weakness is how he talks a lot about himself and it hurt ended up hurting himself in the long run
One of the main ideas of Beowulf would be reputation. From the beginning, Beowulf is rightly concerned about how the rest of the world will see him. He introduces himself to the Scyldings by citing achievements that gained honor for him and his king. When a drunken Unferth verbally assaults Beowulf at the first banquet, at issue is the hero's reputation.
how are Hrothgar and Beowulf alike? they both share characteristics such as bravery and honor to their kingdom. they also share "mother" because they both had a child with her/it.hrothgar and Beowulf both lied about "Mother". they both are heroes and have slain monsters. What is different though is that Beowulf had more strength and courage when he was older. the mother of Grendel has been tricking the kings, for however long, into giving her a child.
What are the strength and weaknesses of Beowulf? Beowulf is the strongest and has a lot of potentials. He is a great leader and his army looks up to him as other people do too. He is fearless from other people and he does not run away he goes into the fighting. A weakness of Beowulf is that he is very competitive which makes him do things that might cause his life. Another weakness is that he made a deal with the devil and sold his soul for being a great king. I think that if he did not make the deal with the devil he would still become a great king either way. What are Beowulf and the previous king alike? They are both very strong and were great leaders. They both made a deal with the devil to become the king and powerful and died of doing that.
rai How are Beowulf and Hrothgar alike? What is the main idea of this movie? What are the strengths and weaknesses of Beowulf? In what way is king related to Beowulf. Compare old and young with regard to age. What do you think causes die? How does this tie in with what we have learned before? Which one is the best movie or book, and why? What are some possible solutions to the problem of monter? Do you agree or disagree with this statement: agree? What do you still not understand about the king?
3. What are the strengths and weaknesses of Beowulf? Strengths: yes Weaknesses: huberus is gloating
9. What are some possible solutions for the problem of the damned succubus? There’s a simple term that hath been originally said in the context of “If she breaths, she’s a THOOOOOOT!!!!!!” in this context the video ended in two nerds sword fighting, and if all else fails, just simply become a homosexual, you can’t reproduce and make a child if you are gay. Some other ideas are if you see the woman blindfold yourself, just simply bring some holy water from your church to damn the monster all to hell, and while you’re at it, make a molotov with the holy water, nothing goes wrong with a holy water molotov… right?
How are Beowulf and the king similar? I think that they are similar because they both took the agreement that the demon gave them and had a monster attack their kingdom and they are also alike because they took gold, land, and worthiness over their safety of their people they are also similar because they both died in the same spot as one another cause the old king jumped to his death and Beowulf died fighting the dragon and died in the same spot at the old king.

This has been indirectly proven but it’s known for sure that Beowulf had a child with her. I think that even Hrothgar was tricked into having a child with her, which I believe is what Grendel was. If she’s been around for a long time, there’s a large chance she has in fact tricked many other kings and that’s why monsters terrorize the land.
