How are Walle and The Road alike? Walle and The Road are alike because they both live on a hateful world and they both are the only people on the earth. They both don’t eat at all or eat very little. They are both kinda like father son because there is the boy and his father and Walle acts like a dad to the cockroach. Walle tries to keep the cockroach safe just like the dad keeps to kid safe in The Road.
In what way is Walles universe related to the universe in The Road? I think Walles universe is related to The Roads because they both live in a dark, foggy, rainy weather. The weather tries to bring them down and they both keep caring the fire and keeps pushing. They both never give up.
Which one is the best and why? I think they both are good movies and good books but I would have to chose The Road because it relates to us kids more and it relates to all of us if you think about like the dad and the families before the world ended. I think that it is put together more and organized better. I think how they did this movie is amazing how it is put together. I think that the actors are really good and talented.
How are the road and wall-e alike? They are alike because the main characters were left on a screwed over planet with nothing but a little motivation and hope. They also have in common that the main character in the road and wall-e are both looking for a sign to keep going and that keeps them going. For wall-e it was eve and for the father it was his sons future. If the father and wall-e did not gain these reasons to continue their journey it would have ended way before and the book/ movie the road and wall-e would not have been as good. Differences include the environment even though both got screwed up wall-e’s was done over time of people’s pollution while in “ The Road’ the apocalypse just kind of happened. Another difference is that wall-e falls in love with eve. The father and son do not really meet other people to love, unless we count the boy that the son saw. I would consider the family that followed the father and son if they had shown up earlier and developed the story more. In wall-e the bad ones are the autopilot robots, the ones that don’t have self awareness. In “The Road” the bad ones are the insane humans that have no respect for others.
Somewhat related note I played borderlands for the first time and the character scheme is setup pretty much the same as the road, the good people who want to protect each other and the ruthless savages. Both are in wastelands.
Wall-e ties into “the road” because the main characters are “carrying the fire” they are not exactly alike but they do represent the same themes and emotions other than maybe to a younger kids point of view because they do not quite understand the deeper meanings of everything.
1: The only similarity I can find that the earth is not in a good spot. The road hinted at war caused it while WALL-E was human ignorance towards the environment. The differences between the two are kinda night and day. One is a satirical kids movie with environmental themes and messages with a cute robot love story put in, while the other is a tragic story of the survival of a father and his son.
2: What is the main idea of WALL-E? In simple terms: It's a film about how ignorant, wasteful, and lazy humanity has become and their reliance on robots and machines to do everything for them. It is only when a self aware robot finds the clue of what they need to help save the world but 700 years prior, a message was sent saying the plan failed and everyone must stay in space. Only when the Captain of the ship realize how bad the world is in and how they are treated by the robots is when he starts to finally take action.
There are multiple things that are similar in The Road and Wall-e. They both live in a world that is "dead" and nothing beautiful. There is also a similarity between father and son. The reason why I think this is because Wall-e and a bug are living together. Wall-e would protect the bug and give it a place to stay. Which is the same in The Road with the father and son. The father would give the son food and protect him. Some differences that I have noticed. is that the worlds are the same but different. The Road's earth has fires, and it is black, but the earth in Wall-e has night and day and has sand storms. Another difference is what they are doing on earth. Wall-e is trying to clean the earth so humans can come back and live on it. In The Road, they are trying to survive.
In what ways is Wall-e and the Dad alike? They are alike by taking care of someone they care about. They both are trying to survive in a place that barely has life.
1. While we watched the film, Andy and I have concluded that there are no similarities between The Road and Wall-E but I found one small similarity between The Road and an episode from City Hunter ("Kids Get Special Treatment: A Beautiful Lady from a Dangerous Land" to be exact), where the kid wants to learn how to shoot a gun, resulting in the kiddo to activate a monkie instinct resulting in something along the lines of monkie see, monkie do, resulting in the kid ALMOST getting caught by government officials because of Ryo and his stupid antics of getting drunk around beautiful women, and I wish I was joking because it canonically happened
2. To be fair I’m pulling most of this out of my butt, that and memory because I saw the episode just yesterday
Juxtaposition: Depending on who you ask, many people could say the two movies are completely different. I personally disagree, even though there are many/few differences between them. The most common thing they share is being “trapped” in a hopeless wasteland. They’re both on earth somewhere that life/humanity will not be restored for a very long time. They’re both carrying the fire by living every day and trying to make a change, such as the man trying to change the boy's life and Wall-e trying to change the earth's condition. They both also carry an amount of love that no one can comprehend/imagine. The fathers love for the kid is present throughout the movie, and began when the child was born. Wall-e’s love for Eve comes from when he met her, but they both share a similarity. Wall-e seems to fall in love with Eve because she’s different, the father loves his son because he knows he's different as well. Both movies give a sense of hope and make it seem that humanity/life isn’t completely lost. Although Wall-e helps the humans return to earth, the child in The Road seems to be the next generation of life on earth as he becomes united with more “good guys.”
Stem: “What’s the main idea of these movies?”
I believe the main idea of these movies is basically to spread awareness. A type of awareness that brings many things, which I believe could more technically be considered as having life. There’s a difference between having life, and being alive. Anything can be alive, suchs as trees, plants and whatnot. But having life is basically to possess something within that makes you feel, basically what we refer to as having a soul. It gives awareness in ways such as love and compassion, which could be defined as carrying the fire. They’re movies that make you feel something inside, no matter how dumb they could be. (i.e. a robot flying through space with a fire extinguisher)
What is the same about The Road and Wall-E? Some of the similarities are that the father and the boy and also Wall-E and his pet. These are the same in that they are both on Earth with no one else there. The father and Wall-E have to take care of their kids. Also, they have to take stuff from other people to survive. The difference is that Wall-E is rebuilding the Earth and making it good again and the father is just looking after him and his kid nothing else. Wall-E found someone to be with and more along the way of his journey. The father just had his kid and that's it. They are both about protecting who or what they care about. What I mean about that is the father wants to protect his kid. Wall-E wants to protect the Earth and Eve. What do I think causes the Earth to go bad in both the movie and the book. Well both of them turned bad and had bad storms like dust storms. In the book, the Earth is red or dust. In the movie, the Earth is full of garbage. They are like that because it is showing us how bad Earth could be and that we should take care of the Earth. Pfeiffer
How do the to movies walley and the road compare in tons of ways they are both on the journey to find a better life. Its hard to compare a robot to a human but i would compare walley to the boy the to characters both have feelings and they want to help for the better. They both live in world that are going to crap with nothing to slow them down in the movie the boy had his father to protect him watch over him and make sure nothing happened to him. In the movie walley had eve and maybe she didn't look over him but she tried to keep him out of trouble they worked as a team to get the plant where it needed to go so they could return to home in both movie and book the boy+father and eve+walley are the good people fighting to keep everything going they carrie the fire and push through the things that hold them back they dont let the dark side stop them from doing right they make a difference by never giving up they give the human race a fighting chance for a real life meier
Wall-e and the Road are similar because both narratologies take place in a destructed world. In both movies, they have to survive and do what it takes to make it out. Another similarity is Wall-e and the son and dad have to carry the fire and only think positive. When they think positive things can happen that can make a huge change. Some differences are that Wall-e found a plant and gave it to Eve and she brought it to the Captain. After she brought it to the Captain he wanted to go back to Eart because he knew that there was life. In the Road, there is nothing that could've fixed what happened because there was ash everywhere and the sky was covered by ash. Another difference is that in Wall-e they had everytibg in the future and everything was ran by robots and technology and in the Road they didn't have anyting.
How are Wall-e and the Dad alike? Wall-e and the Dad are alike because both of them had to take care of someone. Wall-e had to take care of Eve and the Dad had to take care of his son. Both of them took actions like a father and cared for one another.Wall-e loves Eve and the dad loves his son and they would do anything to protect them from getting hurt. Like when the son was being held at gun point that dad took care of the bad guy and when Eve was shut down Wall-e did everything to protect her.
how are wall-e and the road similar and different? the similarities are that they are both about some type of end. the child and wall-e are a lot alike. They both feel alone and are looking for something. wall-e is looking for anyone to just be around and to talk to. The son is looking for the little boy, he wants to meet kids like him and to have fun and not worry about living and dying. but for wall-e, he doesn't really need to worry about living because he is the only one left and no one is going to hurt him. But for the son there and still lots of bad people, hunger, and the cold trying to kill him. What are the strengths and weaknesses of wall-e? Well, I think well-e weakness is that he willing to do anything for anyone ever strangers. he is just too nice and at times he is used and mistreated. His strength is that he never gives up and he knows what's good and bad. What are the strengths and weaknesses of the son? he doesn't know when to look for the good guys and when to just focus on living. he is too caring and honest. what if that man was a bad guy and he wanted to know where his dad is so then he could eat them both. his strengths are that he doesn't give up, he still tries and keeps walking.
The Road and WALL-E definitely have their list of similarities and differences, some may see these two stories as very different, but if you really think about it, the similarities start to show. They’re both similar with their main setting, a post-apocalyptic Earth, but there’s a difference with that as well, the “apocalypse” in WALL-E is a lot different than in The Road, as WALL-E’s was due to over-pollution and too much waste. Another difference is that in WALL-E, all humans evacuated the planet, while in The Road, they all remained on Earth. Another similarity between the stories would be the main characters, the father and son with keeping hope, and WALL-E, although being a robot, has sentience, and has hope along with other feelings as well. These three characters also feel very alone, two variations of Earth both having little to nothing left. Those are the two biggest similarities I could find between the two stories, along with some of the differences between them.
How are The Road and WALL-E alike? I believe WALL-E and The Road are similar in the way that in both stories, the Earth has fallen to some form of apocalypse, the difference there is that the Earth in The Road was still inhabited, while the Earth in WALL-E was uninhabitable due to a build-up in pollution and waste, causing people to evacuate the planet entirely. Still give off a similar feel, a gloomy, ominous Earth with very little left of it, while being different at the same time. How does WALL-E tie in with what we have learned before? I believe it ties in with The Road heavily, due to the fact that they are similar stories, both about some form of a post-apocalyptic world. Due to them both being post-apocalyptic, they have a very similar feel, only with WALL-E being a little more of a happy-going story, while the road is very gloomy and gruesome.
how are the road and Wall-E alike. The road and Wall-E are alike because they both show they are trying to be the best them and how they are trying to carry the fire. In the road, I think the dad is like eve because they are the ones who have a specific thing they have to do to better themselves or others. and I think the boy and Wall-E are alike because they don't know they can handle what's going on fully and they rely in the other to move forward. another similarity is how the world around them changes and they do their best to survive in the world. some differences between Wall-E and the road is how they do their part in the world. And what their ideas on how they carry the fire. in the road the dad is carrying the fire by protecting the boy and heading south. and Wall-E is carrying the fire by cleaning up the world and taking care of eve.
The road and WALL-E to me are almost alike. The reason why they’re the same is because the world that they both lived in is gone, deserted, and destroyed and sometimes have the same philosophy and meaning to it. The difference between the both is the technology, exploration, the themes, the people, apocalypses, and situations. The boy in the book has similarities to WALL-E, he explores, asks a lot of questions, sometimes doesn’t know what’s going on, and sometimes gets into accidents. The dad represents Eve, he knows what to do, how to survive, and knows what’s going on between his son, himself, and the apocalypse. The carrying the fire deal is used throughout the stories. And of course you all know what carrying the fire means. If you're ready to do all sorts of things in your life. In the book, The Road, the father has carried it all along and finally makes his son have it when he is demised at the end of the book. In the movie, WALL-E, Eve carries it and makes WALL-E carry it when they start to know each other, and interact. These two stories caused themselves to be saved along with humanity, although in Road humanity is still not saved.

How the Road & WALL-E. List similarities. I think the Road and Wall-E are similar to the earth and have fallen into bad conditions. The Road has people but it is hard to live in bad conditions. The same as Wall-E they have people too but they live in the place because it is hard to live on the earth. The Road peoples do not have food for all peoples who live on the earth and they are getting skinny and dying. The Wall-E peoples are in a place where they have lots of food and are getting fat and fat even if they can not move the body.
Gurung How the Road and WALL-E similarities and differences. First, in both movies, they want to find a better place to live. So I think the boy and WALL-E are the same; they both don’t know what to do forward. When the WALL-E hides and looks at the EVE that’s remembered in the movie The Road the boy hides and looks at the boy and follows him. Some similarities I see the dad and WALL-E is they both have carried the fire. They both carry the fire they think positive, they are helpful to others. And the movie The Road the dad wants to protect his son from the carnival and they want to survive from the apocalypse and the WALL-E wants to protect the earth and EVE.
The road and WALL-E are similar because they both are the last people on earth and both live in a dry depressing world with barely any time to survive. The differences would be WALL-E is living on a different planet and the boy and father live in a very quiet town but move everywhere and in The Road, the boy finds the last pop ever in the town and in WALL-E he finds a plant that could help them and in this case the pop kind of helped the kid because I'm sure he was thirsty.
What is the main Idea about the two? The main Idea about them would be that if you are the last survivor and trying to fight for your life do anything and everything you can to survive and there are people out there who are willing to fight for there life and you can do the same thing if you put the time and effort into it and if you do that you have a pretty good chance of succedding.
Gurung How the Road and WALL-E similarities and differences. First, in both movies, they want to find a better place to live. So I think the boy and WALL-E are the same; they both don’t know what to do forward. how are the road and Wall-E alike.
It is only when a self-aware robot finds the clue of what they need to help save the world but 700 years prior, a message was sent saying the plan failed and everyone must stay in space. Only when the Captain of the ship realizes how bad the world is and how they are treated by the robots is when he starts to finally take action.

How do the movies Wall-E and the road compare in tons of ways they are both on the journey to find a better life. It's hard to compare a robot to a human but I would compare Wall-E to the boy the characters both have feelings and they want to help for the better. They both live in a world that is going to crap with nothing to slow them down in the movie the boy had his father to protect his watch over him and make sure nothing happened to him. In the movie Wall-E had eve and maybe she didn't look over him but she tried to keep him out of trouble they worked as a team to get the plant where it needed to go so they could return home in both movie and book the boy+father and eve+walley are the good people fighting to keep everything going they carried the fire and push through the things that hold them back they don't let the dark side stop them from doing right they make a difference by never giving up they give the human race a fighting chance for a real life meier

How the Road and WALL-E similarities and differences.
