How are Pi and Richer Parker alike? They are alike because they are in the same boat like actually. They are thinking the same thing like we have to get off of the boat and like what we should do. They are also thinking that we need food and water to survive. They are trying to survive and do what they need to survive and kill, catch or whatever they are trying to. There was a huge play in strengths and weaknesses in this movie and I will tell you why that is. It was a huge play because Pi had to know what to do just to survive. One big strength he had was to know what was going on and how to do things that people wouldn’t think of. Like building another raft to attach to the big lifeboat to survive from the tiger. One big weakness was that when he was counting all of the food and the water that he left it on the raft that he built and he left it on there for him to eat and drink. But then a whale jumps out of the water and hits the rope that is connecting him to the lifeboat. All of the food and water sink to the bottom of the ocean. Which of the characters is the best and why. I will tell you who I think is the best. I think the best in the whole movie is Richer Parker because he knows what is going to happen if he kills Pi. Richer Parker knows that if Pi dies that he will die shortly after Pi does. Just the fact that Pi is doing everything for Richer Parker. Pi is feeding him so that Richer Parker doesn’t go after him. Richer Parker is a really smart tiger because he knows what is right and what's wrong for the time. Also, it is awesome that at the end of the movie that Richer Parker doesn’t eat Pi. He doesn’t eat him out of thanks. Pfeiffer
What is the main Idea of the film? The main idea of the film is to tell the story on what happened after the shipwreck. What do you think causes Richard Parker to stop trying to eat PI? The reason why Richard Parker stopped trying to eat Pi is because he started to realize that he needs Pi to survive. Richard Parker realized that Pi is able to get him food and keep him alive. In my opinion the best scene is when he found the island. Because when he found the island he was able to eat something. He was also able to drink clean water. Also Richard Parker was also able to eat, he was eating the meerkats that were on the island. But one thing that I still don't understand is how did that island get there? Also if there is just a random island how did the meerkats get there too? I have a lot of questions about the island.
The main idea of the film, Life of Pi is finding your way to redemption and survival while finding something that helps you an inch with your survival and also dealing with themes of religion and symbolization. The connections between the characters of Life of Pi and One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest are dealing with stressful situations, having a companion with them, and the two go their own separate ways by the end of each movie. The strengths that Pi has are strong religious views, survival techniques, and plannings. The weaknesses he has is losing everything he knows like his family and the tiger. I still think that One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest is still the best and the reasons can be explained on the stem from March 24. In my theory I think the ship sank because the huge waves caused an impact on the generators and caused water to get in the bottom, make the ship stop working, and sink to the bottom of the Mariana Trench. The one thing I still don’t understand is why the father became an atheist in the first place and what caused him to become one.
I think the whole purpose of this is to see how you perceive and take things by how it is presented to you because everyone has their own angle on things in life in general. Religion sometimes legit depicts the way people live and look at life is because of religion. People going to church for example or when and where to pray. Even people’s morals are solely based around a religion or god if you will. I know the movie’s purpose I do not think is to believe in a religion more figure out where you're at with it or what you take from the story or appeals to you from the story. Like for example showing all the different religions and gods what they mean. The thing is though is that the island could honestly be a huge huslination because he had that one of looking in the water I guess there are no signs he is hallucinating but there might be. Just things I have not noticed. Like he saw the entire boat under water or so he thought. Same with the squid and the fish splitting into all the different zoo animals. But his journey leading up to how he got to that island seems like it was a gift from some figure beyond us some would say is a miracle. I know one thing is for certain he made it out of that storm alive and awakened to a miracle to which he probably thought that it was the end. Another thing is why did he bring all of that stuff on the raft with him? I get a few so you don’t have to keep going onto the boat. WIth Richard Parker of course I don’t think he would go for it or eat it but what do I know I’m not a son to a zookeeper either. zody
how are pi and Reicher parker alike well they are stuck on the same bout so they will have to learn how to deal with each other and try to communicate with each other just like what PI did at the beginning of the movie when they got stuck on the bout if he did not try to communicate with Richer parker he'll probably not be here today same goes for the tiger and doing the same things as PI so in a way that they are the same is because they needed each other to survive and help each other.
What is the main idea about the island in Life of Pi? In my opinion, I am frankly unsure as to what, how, or why does this island manages to exist in the world of the book and film. I have some thoughts as to what does it represent or what it means. I think it could represent some kind of creature, a possible garbage pile that went up and formed the island? Is it some entry to either heaven or hell? Purgatory? Why are there meerkats just chilling there? I am unsure how was this possible but some of the details could be a hallucination of some events? Who knows?
What are the strengths and weaknesses of Pi Patel? Pi Patel is a very smart kid. He’s very resourceful and intuitive but he lacks physical strength. How and Pi and Richard Parker alike? Pi and Richard Parker are alike in a few ways. One, their names were joked upon, Piscine’s name being called a similar that refers to urination and Richard Parker being jooked upon because he’s a tiger with an oddly formal name due to a paperwork mixup. Another way they’re similar is their fate as castaways who have to struggle to survive. What do you think causes the storm? Although the storm was caused by its own accord, I think it can be said that a divine being had a play in the storm’s severity. There’s a short exchange between Pi and his brother about going outside to see the rain and his brother warns him to not “tempt the storms”, Pi goes outside and asks for more rain and the storm quickly gets worse. While this could’ve been a coincidence, I just thought it was interesting that Pi didn’t heed his brother’s warning and his brother’s warning came to fruition. What do you think causes the island to thrive and have trees that grow in zero soil? I think this island is on a colony of algae, an algae that feed on fishes and plant but also absorbs saltwater and filters it through a form of reverse osmosis, I say this because there is fresh water on the island, trees, and vegetation that grow in zero soil and a “platform” of a green substance which might be algae. How are the Figure that pi prays to and the human in the mountains similar? They are similar because they are both prone. This is a minor detail but in the background of one of Pi’s flashbacks, there is a giant, anthropomorphized mountain that adopts a similar pose to the figure that Pi will later on pray to.
What is the main idea of the narratology? The main idea is to tell a story about how he survived a shipwreck during a bad storm and had to survive in the same boat as a tiger. What do I think causes Richard Parker to be nice to Pi? I think Pi giving him food and training him with his whistle to understand commands is what changes Richard Parker's whole mood against Pi. Like in the beginning Richard kept trying to defend himself against Pi because he didn't know what Pi was capable of doing. But throughout the narratology, they start to form a strong bond. What I still don't understand is the cook on the boat wouldn't make them vegetarian food instead he just took the meat off and gave them rice and gravy. He could've been nicer to them but he was just mean to everyone.
how are pi and the tiger alike? they are both just scared and want to live, they are scared of one another and what the other could do. pi is scared that the tiger will kill him and the tiger is scared of the movement and not finding food. all they want to do is live.
what I don't understand is why doesn't he think about killing the tiger, the tiger is becoming weaker and weaker so the best thing to do would be to kill the tiger, why? because a tiger takes a lot to feed and soon the tiger would become to hunger and go after you. plus you could eat the tiger, he would last a long time and his skin could help you stay warm and shaded. I can why he didn't but I still think it would have helped him a lot more if he tried to kill the tiger.
the strengths of pi are - he knows to stay away from the tiger and give him the space to live. he was smart to get on the tigers' good side. I think it was also a good idea that he made a raft away from the tiger. the weaknesses of pi are- his morals keep him from killing at times, or slows him down. he thinks it's bad to kill any animals so that makes it hard for him to eat in the ocean. because the only thing he can eat is fish witch is an animal. he also isn't the best with power, he could have not feed the tiger and let him die but he didn't
The Life of pi was a really good movie and kind of emotional but for the most part, I liked it. What I have to say about the life of pi, I know, I’m not typing in stems, but let’s go over all of this anyway. Skipping the first part of this movie before the shipwreck, we’re going over the crucial part of all of this, the portion with the zebra, monkey, hyena, and then the tiger with the end of the film describing the animals as people on the boat, notably the sailor, Pi’s mother, the chef, and Pi are all represented as the animals listed in order, the tiger is like the wildcard, or joker in all of this, they are both smart and resourceful, Pi is the same as the tiger, smart and resourceful, but the Tiger excels in the skills when in its natural habitat, Pi, he excels in the current situation going on around him and going off of the survival handbook that was provided in the boat in order to survive on his own mini life raft
What is the main idea of the Life of Pi? I think the main idea of the Life of Pi is about faith and hope. See, as a kid, Pi found himself interested in multiple religions, he had faith and hope in them all, even when his father would go after him for it. The whole family hoped for better when they were going to be moving to Canada, they wanted to move because India at the time was taking a downhill spiral both politically and economically. They had faith in finding something better. A storm came and caused their boat to sink, ripping away everything from all of them. Pi survived, though, he kept his faith and hope in religion strong, he had the hope he could make it through and survive. So I believe that the main idea of the Life of Pi is faith and hope. How are Pi and Richard Parker alike? Though very different, they have their similarities. Pi and Richard Parker both, though it took time, came to the realization that they needed each other in hopes of survival. Especially at the beginning, they’re both deathly afraid of what’s going on, and Richard Parker is very aggressive towards Pi. Pi could see that Richard Parker was scared, just like him. Pi helped Richard Parker by feeding him, while Richard Parker helped by giving Pi purpose.
What are the strengths and weaknesses of pie? One of his biggest strengths is his ability to hold such great hope and staying calm in all of this. He never once lost his head and acted upon emotion or behaved in a way that would end badly in the long run. What do you think causes sea madness and how did he avoid it. I think it is mostly caused by loneliness and lack of survival skills and hope. He avoided the loneliness by simply talking and giving the tiger a name, he had conversations with him and kept the peace. He was very smart and lucky and that's what kept him alive. He was smart enough to make a raft with stuff and out of pure luck, he wasn't eaten by the tiger or threatened. The tiger himself was starving and for some reason chose not to eat the boy. As well as the boy not resorting to eating the tiger, not just because he is vegetarian. The best party in my opinion was with the island and the tiger still chose to come with the boy on the boat and leave. he also made it a point to feel for the animals around him and was able in the end. of the film to connect himself to the tiger and the monkey to his mother and so on. he felt their personalities so much that he saw them as people that really made an impression on him. -vargas
How are Pi and Richard Parker alike? They are not physically alike but mentally they are. They both thrive to survive and not try to die. They both need each other to survive because Richard Parker gives Pi a reason to live and have hope. Pi on the other hand gives Richard Parker food because that's the only way Richard Parker knows that he was going to survive. Both of them are also alone and looked at and laughed at. Pi gets made fun of at his school for his name and does not have friends and Richard Parker is kept in a cage and looked at and teased. When Richard Parker and Pi met they did not get along. They were both scared about the whole thing and each other. As the movie continued Richard Parker had marked his territory on the boat and Pi didn't like it. So Pi also tried to do the same thing. It brought the inner tiger in Pi to do what he did. He was not scared and very brave. It was like he stood up to a school bully. What he did was because he was fed up. He lost his family and everything. So I can see why he was mad. In the end, they both got what they need and that was to be back to their old life.
I really liked the life of Pi because i really like movies about survival, and this movie showed survival very well from the beginning when he was gonna feed the tiger threw the cage and his father came in when he was gonna bite his arm, also it shows survival when he was at school and all the kids called him pissing it takes a lot of heart deal with the hate from other students and when him and his family where going to move to the United States of America they were really worried about not being able to fit in with all the other people in america. And when they all were stranded out in the ocean it takes really really good instincts to survive in general and i think Pi showed that really really well. Also when Pi and Richard Parker found the island with the green veggie trees and the Brown meerkats Pi really thought deep down about staying there but when he saw the tooth and richard parker go to the boat he realized that this place was not safe.
