Webb, Parker
Me personally I don't believe so I love stories that would use animals but I would question his state of mind as he was on there for more than 200 days he wouldn't have been in the right state of mind I believe he would've been the only person on that boat up to a certain amount of time as that memory of the tiger or other animals our brains can hallucinate quite vividly once in distress to help their minds open up to feel as if they have a reason to do something as Richard parker would've kept him alive in a sense I believe Richard parker was a sense for him an animal locked up in pi that was released when he finally let go in that raft and saw himself as two different people. I love the story and the concept of it but me being me I find a lot of things different like the island scene, He can eat the island? I don't believe what he's seeing is possible or could disappear in the period for this. His mind must be gone at that point and for some of the things he sees can't be explained I think he is hallucinating from seasickness truly at that point. The tiger is someone in him he sees himself inside being a tiger something he held onto from Richard parker and would push onto himself as a tiger he would've fought for his life down to tooth and nail barely surviving everything that has happened and once he was on the beach that part of him left for pi to be himself but ultimately changed by what was happening to him on that island and on the sea. Pi I believe made that story up and would believe the two parts he had the time to plan and what has happened could've believed everything that he told himself and seen just what happens as someone who's gone mad and with delusions.

I want to believe that there was, in fact, a tiger, I'm one who enjoys these types of movies and I like the fact that they have this story with an animal such as a tiger. I don't believe there was only one tiger though, I think there was two. Richard Parker and the tiger inside of Pi. This tiger that was inside of P, was able to conquer Richard Parker and survive all the way back home from his journey. The reason why they say this is because Pi would have never been able to get through all of the challenges ahead of him. He was able to pull himself up and win. He did not give up and kept going even if it was getting tough. The tiger was real and so was Pi, I have faith that this could be a true story, God has blessed many people with amazing stories and I truly think this is one of them. He works in mysterious ways and stories are on of the best way of showing how his power works. Some of the concepts of this story are too surreal to pass up on like the floating island.

I do not think there was a real tiger on the boat. The reason that I do not think that a real tiger was on the boat is that how would the tiger not attack him and kill him. In the movie the tiger stays on the boat for the most part and the tiger never kills the boy. I think if the tiger was real or not it would have attacked the boy and ate him because the tiger is way stronger than the boy. But in the movie, the tiger never killed him and stayed pretty much away when the tiger was strong enough to kill him at any moment. Another reason I don't think that there was actually a real tiger is that in the movie he had the tiger trained to come to a whistle and listen to a name. I think the tiger part was all made up and that the tiger was actually pi. The reason I think that the tiger was actually pi is that the first story doest seem real with the floating island that eats people and the water turning bad and turning into acid. I think that pi was the tiger and the tiger was in himself and it was his will to fight to stay alive and to stay strong and continue to fight to hopefully become back on the land. Another reason that I think that the tiger was not real is that the tiger ate the other animals which is kind of like saying that they are actually people that were on the boat and it was the chef, the happy Buddhist, his mom, and pi. And with the animals being the people I think that the chef did kill the other people and used them as bait and ate him so he could stay alive and then pies mom got into a fight and the chef and the mom got into the fight and then pi got mad at the chef for killing his mom and then pi killed the chef and then he ate him and realized he needed to do that to stay alive.

I believe the first story about him being on the little boat with the tiger Richard Parker. I have mixed ideas about this movie. I think that if the second story is true about what he did I think that the tiger would be within him. I think that maybe being shipwrecked and on a lifeboat in the middle of the ocean and having the storms was maybe sort of punishment if the second story is true. But I really believe the story about the tiger being with him on the lifeboat. I think that if the second story is true then at the part where it shows Richard Parker not saying goodbye to Pi maybe could be showing that the tiger left Pi and came out of him. I think that the tiger was really with him the whole time and that he was not alone on the lifeboat. I think that the tiger helped Pi get through a lot of things and it also helped Pi get saved and I think the tiger made him stronger. I think the part where Pi looks into the Ocean water while he is on the lifeboat makes me think that maybe the tiger is in him because they are seeing the same thing in the water. I think that the tiger was always with him the whole time and I think that the part where the tiger goes into the forest may be the tiger in him going away and becoming free. I believe that his dad and Richard Parker the tiger helped Pi to keep going on to survive and to keep having hope. I think that some of the things in the story like the island is part of his imagination. I think that the tiger helped Pi to have strength and hope and encouragement to keep going. I think that maybe the second story could be true because he is crying when he tells it and the part in the second story where he says that he did all that bad stuff makes me think that maybe Pi was really the tiger but I am not for sure which story is true.

Yes there was a tiger on the boat which is name is richard parker and he is a bengal tiger who is stranded on the lifeboat with pi. When the ships sinks rickard parker lives on the lifeboat and is kept alive with the food and water pi gives to him. Also there was a tiger on the boat because when the big ship sunken then pie and rickard parker had to go on a little lifeboat and sail sea since he lost all of his family when the boat sank. There was also a tiger on the boat because he had to tame the tiger with a big wooden stick and praise him with meat because that was the only thing keeping him alive and going. He decided to tame the tiger because the lifeboat wasn’t just richard parker so he decided to tame him and it did work out and they were friends till the end of the movie. Also when the tiger jumps into the sea to hunt for fish and then comes back up and pi had to decide whether he was going to let the tiger back into the boat or leave him to die and drowned cause he could of killed him at that point to but he gave in and let richard parker back onto the boat. And towards the end of the movie the jamipese people believed in the tiger story because there was a tiger on the boat with him. Then he realizes that caring for the tiger has a meaning and the tiger meant something to him. The tiger was also on the boat every since the beginning of the movie because he used to live in a zoo with animals so that is why he let the tiger back on the boat because he was caring for it and lived in a zoo and hate to see animals suffer. Finally he had to overcome the tiger leaving him at the end because he found his naturally habit and lived a better life.

Yes and no there was a figurative tiger on the ship it was himself. I don't know what to say about it. There where to tigers in this movie one was a real tiger the other is him. It was his rage and letting it out. The tiger could have been his corruption. But who knows knows only pi knows which story is true and which one is false. The got facts right about tigers at least. Also the tiger would also have gone for the human first other then trying to get fish. And no there was no real tiger its a cgi tiger because its a movie. It could have been considered to be the main character of the story. The kid had always seen that side contained but now the it is able to run free and wild. He was contained after his father showed him that the tiger will kill for food. This is a lot of work thinking of three hundred and forty words to type about a tiger that may or may not have been there. I think the tiger would have eaten him when he when on the boat and looked on the water and saw all the animals. Did the tiger hallucinate as well when it was looking into the water. There is not much to say about the tiger it was orange ish it had stripes and eyes, also a tail. But it didnt know how to survive without human help. The tiger had big eyes that looked like they were wide open and listing.

There was a tiger in the boat. I believe his story and how he survived and how incredible that is. The tiger was a character that was essential for the story because as he says in the story he couldn’t survive without Richard Parker and I will think that is true because Richard Parker helped him to be alert all the time and even the tiger wanted to eat him. Richard Parker was his friend and was there surviving both together and they were together up to the end of the movie. Many days in the ocean not knowing what will come and things that you need to be busy so you don’t become crazy and or ending by not killing yourself. It is hard to survive like that and even more with a tiger, but I have a question? Why didn’t the tiger eats the PI when he was sleeping or something because I bet the tiger was very hungry could kill him since they were in the same boat. At the end of the movie, he didn’t something like a stick or a gun or something. I just the movies leave things out how were the last moments before touched land in Mexico. How PI survive when the tired was so hungry and him also. I hope the book can answer me those questions because an animal does not stop being animals even if they are very trained they can still eat you or hurt you. Animals are made to be free in the wild and we as humans are keeping them from their homes. In the second story that he told the chineese guys he said they took the evil side of me. Everyone has a tiger inside if something happens to any of our families and they are very close you can turn a tiger. God is present in this story and what you can believe or in what you don’t believe in. In my opinion if he told me that history I would believe where was a tiger in the boat I have seen many things related to this topic with the animals and surviving, but they all shows none of them show the reality that PI suffer in the ocean.

I think there is the possibility that there was a tiger on the boat with PI but I also think that there is a possibility that the tiger was in PI but I lean to the story that there was a tiger on the boat because since it was a zoo tiger it was trained somewhat so that it wouldn’t eat unless it had to. The movie is somewhat far fetched but I think it could have been possible because if you think about who be out on a boat for that long and the one of main things that they are thinking about is how he could tell everyone a fake story when he could be honest about what happened out there. Plus I don’t think the author would go through all that time to get PI’s story and then turn around to change the story to make it seem more real, I think the reason why the author published this story is because everyone has their own unique way that they grew up and some of those ways they make you believe in things that you didn’t think were possible. One reason why I support this theory is that every day of every week we find and study new creatures, new plants, new trees and it is just amazing that we find new things every day and we all know that we are still searching and finding new species in the marina trench so I think that there is always a possibility of new/different things. Another reason why I think that the tiger was on the boat is that when PI was telling the 2nd story to the interviewer’s he was explaining the first story but only with people and no island in the story but there is another thing that I feel yes and no about is when he is telling the 2nd story he is crying but when we saw it during movie he was stressed out and the way his expression was it looked like he was crying somewhat so that part I feel yes and no about.

So do I believe that richard parker was on the boat or not? After thinking I think that the tiger was not real it was pi. Because we never saw the tiger get on the boat. So how did it get on the boat in the first place and get out of its cage to get their. I think richard parker is pi animalistic side because it was in hiding for awhile but once the butcher killed his mom he killed him killed him showing his animalistic side. I feel like that the hiding showed that the tiger was not real and if the first story is true how did the zebra and the hyena get in the boat to and out of their cages. But it is hard to tell because the first story is almost all possible but some things make it a little far fetched to believe. Back to the hiding part I feel like pi because of his religion he did not want to kill anyone he wanted to be nice and not hurt anything but after seeing the butcher eat the sailer and hitting him because he could not catch a turtle than killing pi’s mom mad him angry and when the time was found to seek revenge for the butcher killing his mom he killed him. Also he said in the movie if it wasn’t for richard parker he would not have survived but wondering is that because he became fearless and killed the butcher or because the actual tiger killed the hyena but you never can be sure. Also the island he said you could eat the ground everything and it was poison at night how would that happen so i belive the scene where the tiger is eating the meerkats is him eating maggots. Also when he made it to society I feel like the scene where the tiger leaves and doesn't come back I dont think its richard parker I think its. His Angry, animalistic, survival side leaving and never returning so he is done with that he can go back to being a normal person.

Was there a tiger on the boat? I don’t think there was a tiger on the boat but that’s what PI wanted to believe. It was Pi’s way of giving the people he was with on the boat personalities because we as observers can relate to animals’ dimener better than a characters. I would like to think that he was on a lifeboat with a tiger but he would have got malled right away.

First, I thought there was a tiger when he was struggling I think the tiger represents how strong Pi was when he was living permanently in the boat. It was really surprising when I saw how he tried to become friends with the tiger but actually, when I think about it there is no tiger but what it shows is that his strength, his beliefs, his attitude towards something, patience, trust and also helping yourself or others that are in need of something in a sudden situation. I feel like the tiger in the boat shows or tells a lot about how a person can handle it or they can't do it. It shows how one person's personality can be seen in a situation where they have to decide to live or to die. I think they use the tiger to represent how he had to handle a lot of different situations that have happened to him but even though he was sad and it was thought to live or survive. He believed in his God, that he will save him but it was hard for him to talk about how he lost all his family at once. I think they choose to put the tiger on the story because as we all would assume it is a big and scary animal that we don't want to even get close too. In the story, they used the tiger to express the person that Pi had to become. Pi also learned a lot from his father to be strong and also he had to learn how to be Independent by himself. The tiger also represents fear, death and also the strength of a person to get out of a situation.

I think that the tiger was on the boat only because it was what kept pi going in the right direction. The tiger was there to protect and be there for Pi and to keep him from dying and Pi did the same thing. The tiger played a huge roll in the movie even though they portray the tiger instead of his mother. The mother is protective and very angry throughout the movie. Later on in the movie, they get along better than what they used to be back in India in the zoo. The tiger has feelings that pi can see in movies like what is in the tiger eyes and why he is sad that all of the animals that were on the boat when it sank.
