Logos is when you precisely recounts historical events relevant to their argument. You are using logic or reason to persuade people. Logos also comes from the Greek language. It means logic. The argument depends on the logos. Logos is about appealing to your audience's logical side. You have to think about what makes sense to your audience and use that as you build your argument. As writers, we appeal to logos by presenting a line of reasoning in our arguments that is logical and clear.

Pathos. Pathos is quality or powerful message that appeals to someone's inner passion and ideals. These are mainly used for commercials and try to make the viewer, reader, or any other type of person to feel pity, sympathy, kindly sorrow, and compassion to someone or something. Some of these can be used well and enhanced experience to something great and make people love it or feel sorry for it. But some examples show the complete opposite effect happening to an individual or a whole group of people if the pathos was used poorly. These can lead to hatred, anger, rage, and bitter resentfulness to someone or something if done very, very, very poorly.

Ethos is someone that you can trust and can give creat to for trying or giving it their all. It is someone that you can tell everything to. It is someone that you can give creat to because they tried their best or tried something and then failed you can give creat to them for at least trying. This can be one person to go to for everything and they can keep your secrets and not tell anyone. This is that one person that tries their best for anything and everything and they don’t give up. This is that one person you can go to and they will help you out no matter what.

I am writing this about logos or known as logic. Logos is the Greek word for logic. Logos can be described as a statement, sentence, or an argument. That all can convince or persuade the target audience by logic. Logos try to get something from someone. This can be used all over in letters or just in talking to someone. More than likely you will get something done if you use logos. You will get a lot of things done if you say it the right way that you want to and you should get a lot of things done.

Ethos is a Greek word meaning character. When a teacher is teaching he can use ethos to describe their way of life and what their living conditions are and how they get all their supplies. Some musicians use the greek word ethos because its the power of music and they can influence others to try music and get into it. Ethos can be used in many other ways.

Logos is something I prefer more as a human, simply because it uses facts to help instill credibility. Growing up in life, I’ve learned that nine times out of ten, factual information is always believable. Whether people believe it or not, nobody can deny the truth. Sure, knowledge can be spread by using pathos and ethos, but if neither one of them come off as serious or seem as if they don't have the slightest bit of knowledge about the topic, it’ll simply become unbelievable. I’ve learned that many unfactual people tend to lie about a lot of things, sometimes even things that are simply irrelevant.

Pathos is defined as pity or sadness. Sometimes when you write in a letter having sympathy isn't a bad thing because it actually shows that you really care about what your saying and you really mean it. Pity actually means that you are interested in them and are curious about there problem or situation. Writers should have ethos, logos, and pathos in there letter. Lambertz

Logos means logic and because we are using this to get our target person’s attention with facts that we have provided that changed our lives when we were introduced to this person, either young, old, or baby, we won’t remember much anyway when we were younger but still, my point stands. For all of us, we have someone who has become a role model and gave us good, quality entertainment, either jokes that even elementary school kids understand, someone who wanted to do this part-time but became their occupation, or some celebrity who’s funny, we still have to show our appreciation somehow

Logos' persuasive appeal to the audience’s logic or reason. Ethos is one of three modes of persuasion, appealing to the audience by embarrassing the speaker’s credibility and authority. Pathos is the last mode of persuasion. Pathos appeals motion is a way to convince the audience of an argument by creating an emotional response. Logos, Ethos, and Pathos are often used in speech writing to shake the audience.

Logos is part of the argument that appeals to the audience’s sense of logic for example when a speech has factual information or historically accurate information in their speech it appeals to the readers logic and they think the speech is more well done. And pathos is used to draw the audience in with an emotional connection for example when someone describes a love of their life in their speech it shows that they have an emotional connection and it draws the reader into the letter more and hopefully gives sympathy for the author of the letter. So if you use these in a letter or speech the audience will be more intrigued in your letter cause of all the things that you use to draw in and connect them to you as well.

Ethos refers to any element of an argument that is meant to appeal to an audience's ethics or ethical responsibilities. This word “ethos” also means character in the Greek language. Ethos often shows up in an argument in the statements about the speaker's intentions or of the speaker's credibility. Ethos is important when writing because it establishes credibility. Many writers use ethos when trying to establish trust or credibility between the reader and the writer. An example of ethos is a commercial on the toothpaste that says that 4 out of 5 dentists use it, it establishes credibility by giving us the stats of the subject they are speaking on.

Logos is an old Greek term used to describe the use of logic and reason in the world. Logos had also been used in some other meanings over the course of time, for example, discourse, which is a debate or argument, would have to involve logic in reason in order to win because factual and logical statements cannot be argued against. Long ago, Logos would also be used in a religious term for rational and logical, so being logical and rational towards your religion. Therefore, in every definition, Logos is a term used to describe the logic and reason of life in general.

Pathos is the quality that evokes pity or sadness. Pathos has shown to be a way to draw audiences and make them relate to emotions. Sometimes Pathos involves people writing sympathetic letters, people telling other people about their sad story, and people watching/reading a sad, dark movie, TV show, and book. The word came from Greek and was borrowed in the 16th century, and for English speakers. The word translates "Suffering, Experience, and Emotion."

The word that we should always use when writing the letter is Ethos, Logos, and Pathos. This word is always good to use in letters because Ethos, Logos, and pathos have a good meaning and can make the reader think. The reason why you should use the Ethos in the letters is that the meaning of ethos is the characteristic spirit of a culture, era, or community as manifested in its beliefs and aspirations. This will make the letters interesting to read and you may have a chance to get replies. You should also include Logos because sometimes you need to write a letter arguing so the reader can get attached to what you are trying to say. Last but not least you should include Pathos because you also need to be emotional so the reader can understand what you trying to say and you really mean it
